Ray Ramsey. Great to work with. My brother just bought a Panamera from him.
Ill second Ray! Great guy and Porsche enthusiast. I have bought 4 cars from him. Monterey is really getting their act together over past couple years.
I had BMW of San Francisco quote me a $10k markup on an F80 M3 once.... when I expressed my genuine perplexment of a $10k markup on an M3, they then offered to sell it at MSRP, took it as this is just the SF tax, went on my merry way further perplexed, and then ordered one at Euro Delivery Invoice + $1500 which seemed far more reasonable (east coast dealer who had the car delivered to my door gratis as an extra experience!)...
I wouldn't really say suckage, they run a business, and seems like there are clearly folks that are willing to pay whatever price they're offered, and apparently there are plenty, hence what probably is causing puzzlement at the prices... oh well, can't fault em for looking out for their bottom line

Way too much of a captive audience. People are just throwing money at the dealers as if they are strippers

I agree, but I found Redwood City Porsche, formerly Carlsen Porsche, to be excellent to deal with. They just didn't have the spec that I wanted. I had to go all the way to Florida for mine.
