Default 991.1 PSE issue?

I have a 2012 991 Cabriolet with 20,000 miles, MT. My PSE is still loud, but seems to have lost the snap, crackle and pop. Does the engine have to be warm for this? My commute to work is under 5 miles each way. Could it be a vacuum hose or any other ideas? It seemed to be fine up until I took the car out of storage from it's winter hibernation.

My PSE pops & crackles when the car is cold, and hot of course.

I find the rice bubbles mostly in the Sport Plus mode, a little in Sport and less again with PSE only.

There is zero burble when sport and sport plus are disengaged...PSE just makes the exhaust louder, and does not create the burble pops. Are you saying when you have sport or sport plus engaged there is no burble? That would be odd..

Normally you get more pops and crackles when the exhaust is hot. In most cars.
when you put in sports plus mode, they are programmed to inject more fuels to the engine and thats how that sound is made.
