Great info to have, but I have a ways to go 19 months in service and 2576 miles. I figure I will hit the 4 year mark before 10k miles maybe.

thanks for posting.

Thumbs up Fidelity Warranty - M Jordan at Mossy Motors -New Oleans

Went back and forth with Michael J at Mossy Motors. He was excellent and gave me a very good price on a Fidelity Pt extended warranty on my 2012 991. This is my second warranty from Fidelity. The last one paid for a new engine job to the tune of 20K!! A big hassle to get it done from Fidelity and my dealer, but worth it! Worth the call to Mike and less expensive than my local dealer. I just hope that my local dealer does not care where I bought the warranty from. Any thoughts on this?
Mike Jourdan can be reached at 504-352-8796.

As long as the policy is valid, they shouldn't care where you got it. I bought mine from my local dealer only because they beat MJ's price.

So first time my warranty didn't cover me was today, I guess there is an exclusion on the lock cylinders, so my faulty lock mechanism isn't covered.

Yes, that's in the list of exclusions

I just got the same deal from Michael Jourdan at Mossy Motors in New Orleans (504-352-8796). I placed Fidelity's Platinum coverage on my 2014 911 Turbo S for $2359 with a $100 deductible for 5 years and 60,000 miles. Our local Porsche dealer wanted $2000 more for the same deal. I also found Michael to be a first class guy to deal with. I give him 5 stars on my transaction! Also, I am very grateful to the forum members who brought this thread to my attention.
Mucho gracias Rennlist!!!!!!!!!

Iv'e got 36k on my 2012 CS. So far so good, no major stuff and regular routine service. I'm wondering if getting the Power Train warranty would be enough?

The platinum is going to be quite a bit more money, especially due to the mileage. But the platinum is going to be much easier to get stuff covered on. With the powertrain, they may try and blame the failure of the normally warranted part on a part that is not warranted.

I'm more worried about engine and trans (PDK) problems down the road. I wish the would tell what's NOT covered!
