Default Carrera T first time to autox

Just finished break-in on the T, so I took it out to an autox and see how it compares to my GT3. And I'm very happy to report the car did real good, really not much slower than the GT3 (less power but PDK makes up for a lot of it, my GT3 was manual). Placed 7th out of 150 cars. Now that the car does so good, I'm thinking if I can put some serious rubber on it, car could place even higher as car came with those crappy P Zeros which are actually .2" narrower than the same sized Michelin PS4's, front and back. However I'm not able to find any semi slicks other than the Cup2's or Trofeo R's. I was looking for maybe Hoosiers or Goodyear's new 3R Semi slicks. Has any of you tried semi slicks on narrow body 991.2's that are wider than OEM sizes?

Here's a video of one of the runs, car is very predictable BTW.

No cones? How do they determine if you cut a corner or swing out too wide?

Looks luke fun.

not much in 20 inch sizes other than Toyo 888R. No Hoosier A7 in 20s yet. I went with skinnier 295 re71 r on stock width rims. Have to go with 19 inch wheels to get A7s ..

And hey according to PCA the T is faster than your GT3 - they just put T in S13 class with GT3 RS. Not slower P12 class with GT3.

For the 2019 Parade classifications for Autocross, the Carrera T is listed as S10, same as the 997 base and S and the 991 base and the 992 base.

The 991 S and GTS are in S11, along with the 992 S.

I was wondering about the lack of cones also.

I was wondering that, too...

I see cones. They are just small.

Yeah the cones are very small but the entire course is chalked also. However I wish they would put taller/larger pointer and apex cones in certain places even though they do have plastic curbs there and people can cut the curbs to shave off time but since there's no price for coming in first there's no penalty for hitting cones and cutting curbs. What is great about this event is you just sign up for one hour of 8 runs at a time, you arrive 15 minutes before the hour, do your runs and leave. There's no work duty, no need to hang out all day, no putting cones away at end of day. You Socal drivers should give this a try (PM me for details).

Do you guys think replacing the Crappy Zeros with Sport Cup 2s along with installing a camber plate for another degree plus of negative camber (I already cranked the top the shock towers in all the way) could gain me a second in the 35 second course?

Cup 2s aren't going to get enough heat in autox. Might want to look at the RE-71R.

Problem is the RE-71R only goes to 295 wide. I'm hoping to go at least OEM width of 305, or wider to dial out more understeer.
