anyone having problems with PDK
i have a 2014 911 cab with 92,000 miles. just been informed that the PDK is leaking oil and needs to be replaced to the tune of $16,000.00. i thought that the PDK trans was indestructable. anyone have thoughts

It’s a pretty robust transmission but there have been some failures and yeah, they are costly as it’s really non-serviceable. Your 16k is really a core exchange for another rebuild unit. Sorry to hear about your news, I would make sure they evaluate everything before swapping transmissions.

Porsche is pretty proud of the robustness of their pdk transmission so if you push harder with your service Mgr and give few calls to PCNA they might be able to pick the tab.. not my personal experience but doesn’t hurt in trying

I have read numerous threads in this forum about PDK failures, and I have a manual - I am sure if you search this forum you will learn about many similiar experiences.

If that's $16k installed, it sounds very fair but sucks to eat it. Plus you could easily rack up a few grand more with fresh hoses, water pump, etc, while you're in there stuff...
