Updated query. How many 991 owners anticipate moving to a 992?

My only reservation with the 992 is Porsche following the trend of other marques (particularly Audi, BMW and Mercedes who followed the mass market brands) over several years now to mess with the smooth, rounded, tactile body lines in favour of adding creases and angles. The Boxster went this way on the front and rear wings, albeit only slightly, and it now looks like the 992 has as well, but only the front. I love stroking my beautiful crease-free big fat hips, reminiscent of my old 987, so at least they've left, even accentuated, them on the 992.

I know there may be some that will avoid the new car. But how long will that last for most? Many complained about the turbos on the 991.2, now they are complaining about various aspects of the new 992. Chances are good the next version out will not be liked either by some of the old traditional guard. Their is only so long you can hold out unless you wish to resign to driving an older car....that continues to get older and further out of date. While the older cars may be fun to look at I wouldn’t want one to drive one on a regular basis. In time, these current cars will feel and look just as dated. I, like you, don’t care what others think about what I drive.....but I personally always like a current model car, as are all of my personal vehicles. Plus, I flat out get bored with my current vehicle in a relatively short period of time. Just a sickness I guess!

Not buying a 992. When planning my purchase last September, I didn't want to deal with any more waiting time (5 months for the 991.2) for a 992.
I will be keeping my '19 at least for the next 4 years and is a daily driver. It's a 7M, and that was a must have when I bought the car. Don't know what Porsche has planned for manuals.
Very happy with my C4S.

I’ve gone the Apple iPhone “S” route for my last three Porsche’s, so my 991.2 GTS will likely make way for a 992.2 of some sort.

Love the PDK and really use the "stick" a lot for shifting in manual, so got an 18 Targa 4S. Good for a decade. Don't like the idea of having my hands tied to the steering wheel for paddle shifting- the electric shaver posing as a shifter sealed the 'no' for me.

The Targa is a beautiful machine, and shockingly rare to see on the road.

No plan here...I think this GT3T I have has a long way to go and the 992 seems a bit too plush...maybe down the road a 992 Targa as a cool "non track" cruiser...

Not for a while. Sure I would enjoy the extra torque but I would have stayed with my 2007 C2S had I not driven the 991.2. Had driven many 991.1s and never wanted one, the .2 gave me the driving feel I wanted. I'll have more to say after driving the 992, I just think (I sure could be wrong) that the jump in driving feel over the 991.2 won't be more then the 991.2 was over the .1. Also I'm not yet liking the rear, front, and interior enough to switch.

I intend on trying one. I currently have a 991.2 C2 that I've put 16k miles on in 12 months. This included daily commutes, 1300+ track miles and everything in between. I suspect the 992 will do all of these things just fine, if not better.
Still waiting to replace my Cayman with a (potentially) 6 cylinder NA 982 Spyder. If that happens, that car will definitely be the keeper...

I like the 992 and am certain that the performance will be hard to resist. I look forward to driving one.
But my 991 C2S SPASM/PSE is still a as great to drive as the first time I drove it. It has driven away GTSs and Turbos.
Wonderful problem. No way to lose.
