My Targa went into production today! At least that's what my SA told me. I'm hoping they can meet the Aug 9 delivery date. One good thing being in Ontario, Canada is Halifax is the first stop for the transport ships.

Awesome. For what it’s worth, I have found the open top Targa great at keeping the cabin comfortable in temps down below 10 degrees (heated steering wheel and seats may required at speed) so you will still have a few months of driving the car with an open air experience after delivery.

Someone mentioned above that they did not buy a GTS because they did not want Alcantara. You can get full leather in the GTS. Alcantara is not for everyone but everyone should know that leather is an option.

Exactly. I went full leather in order to get away from the Alcantara center console and door arm rests. Alcantara isn’t for me.

I wonder when the last 2019 is going to be built? Are there allocations still available? Is the rumor they are only building Targa and Turbos true?

My car has arrived at the dealer! Pick it up next week. Can't wait. Have the clear side markers sitting on my desk ready to install. It's hard to believe this whole process has only taken 4 months. Seemed like forever. Thanks for everyone's advice and help on this. Can't believe this teenage dream is coming true.

Here are a fwe pictures the dealer sent me just in case anyone forgot what a GT Silver Targa GTS looks like!

Now for the sad part. I have to store my old family member for a year or so while I figure out how to add more parking in my garage.

Nice, but make sure they clean the side sill, or replace it if the scuffs will not come out, before you take delivery; I hate when people cannot lift their legs up when they get in a car.

Congrats! 3 pedal Targa GTS will hold its value here in Canada tremendously well. If you ever want to sell it, I want first dibs

As we probably all say when we buy our first Porsche "I hope to keep this one forever". Based upon my track record, keeping it doesn't bode well, but I am going to try.
