As I'm a huge fan of having your original window sticker, I think that is awesome! I hope your still have the 79...

Thanks for sharing.

40 years of new 911's - that's a good run
That '79 price adjusted for inflation is about $100k, and your options on the GTS are more than the '79 cost, so times really have changed!

The 79 price for leather makes the leather interior look reasonable in 2019. What is the $1950 option group in 1979?

My brother has the original window sticker from his '69 T, which he still has. Too bad he lives in Buffalo NY since it would be cool to have my '19 with his at the same time.

That's pretty cool to have these to compare.

Default Then and now

Above is the window sticker of the very first new car I purchased and the one for my current ride. In my youth I could not afford a Porsche so my first new car was a 1987 mustang gt. This thread reminded me I still had the window sticker. Sorry if this is an all Pcar thread, but I thought some may be interested the pricing in 1987 on a then top of the line Mustang. Kind of a "then and now" thread? Sure do like my "now" car better!!

The AC and power windows look pretty reasonable in 2019, too! Can you imagine adding $5k for AC or $1500 for power windows today?

either metallic paint was really expensive back then or really cheap now.

A/C option!
