I'd say it is much noticeably louder and I really like the extra burble sound. The only thing louder would be going catless. Like you, I think these engines sound awfully quiet and I would not consider any system with mufflers as I can't imagine them making much of a difference over stock. Again this is a straight pipe system, so you are getting rid of that big muffler in the back. And I would definitely get the HJS HFC's to go with it. That adds even more sound.

I would highly recommend this system,.

thanks for the feedback. If i go with speedtech, i would get the full system as well. Any noticeable power and/or spooling difference with the sport cats? Any issues with the fit and finish?

Fit and finish is excellent. I couldn't tell you I feel a noticeable difference in power, but I do expect I gained some do the the HJS cats and removal of the muffler.

The SpeedTech system reuses the stock tips or any other tips that fit the stock system. I didn't like the stock tips, so I went with a set of Soul Performance 4 inch slash cut tips and then had them ceramic coated black. For some reason you can only get black tips from Soul if they are 3.5 inches.

My wife and I always imitate those sounds when we drive the car, kind of like car karaoke, Porsche edition.
I like all that popping and crackling too and in fact, they have a real purpose for those of us who use engine braking, without energizing the brake lights via the brake pedal. Those pops and crackles are very useful for announcing to the cars behind you with eyes not on the road ahead, that are fussing with their phone, radio, NAV, makeup, or are otherwise brain-dead, that something is happening in the traffic in front of them. With the huge increase in volume from my catless pipes, is so loud back there they would have to be totally brain-dead not to hear. Waking them up from their up from their whatever can save you from being rear-ended.
For me, that has high value!!

Do you have a "Loud Pipes Save Lifes" sticker on the back?

Thank you for choosing us! We can do PVD coatings or ceramic black Jet-Hot coatings on any tips - it can just sometimes take up to 3 weeks for the coating process. With PVD coating you have the option of custom logos. Your imagination is the limit! I'm working on updating our website to allow for more options for customization in the very near future.

I'll see if I can paste in a copy of a video I made.

https://youtu.be/VJCam4b2Ccs Wow... So apparently it didn't upload in HD and it sounds pretty quiet... I'll have to look into that.
This is the setup I am looking to get - will this setup work with sports headers?

Bob, I just noticed your rear valance is painted body color. Did you order it that way from the factory?

Yes, I did, along with the rear vent slats, side skirts, & interior trim. After the fact I had the front spoiler, side emblems, steering wheel inserts and key halves painted body color as well; custom crests in that color are in production.

Bob, How much extra is the ceramic coating from soul? Those are really really nice! I might need to slap those on my kline (stock tips originally planned).
Also, can i adjust those to stick out less, or are those hubbed to the exhaust outlets?

You will have to check with John or Mike at Soul since there are variables depending on what tips, color, sheen, etc. They can be adjusted forward & aft and up & down as well a little but I am not sure why someone would do the latter. I pushed mine all the way forward at first but I liked them better sticking out some, which is what I did.

I still have my stock oval Black Chrome tips in case you, or anyone else, prefers the factory look.
