Default 991.2 Targa GTS exclusive manufaktur 1/500 ...?

A client of mine was offered a 1/500 exclusive manufaktur Targa GTS recently and it came up on a discussion. Is there any truth in this series or is his salesman taking him for a ride? I can’t seem to find any info on this “limited” run

Looks like almost a $16K option - what was he told it includes? (I have never heard about it)

Based upon what I see and what I’m told by the Sales Guys at my dealership:
About once per year Porsche forces these “Exclusive” runs onto the dealer network. The dealers pretty-uniformly hate them because they just sit on the floor for 6 to 18 months because they are optioned over the moon and, more often than not, a bit tasteless in appearance. I’ve witnessed this myself for 2 of the last 3 “Exclusive” models. One of them - the “Endurance Racing” edition - sat for more than a year and only sold after it had been ‘de-sticker-fied.’

So, if your client wants an over-the-top-optioned Targa then he should be able to negotiate a huge discount to get that thing ‘pre-sold.’ Of course, IMO, more than 50% of the time these Exclusive models should also come with a free bottle of eyesoap. So, buying them sight unseen is risky.

Position 21, Option CXV a nice $15.7k Exclusive Manufacturer Charge. Wow...and it stickers north of $190k. Need to see what included in that exclusive manufacturer bit.

But lets dream a bit. What if, just maybe, Porsche got together with mod shop McChip in Germany and released something like this?

I would be in on this.

That was the last one. They actually hold value pretty well (probably because PTS and the cool interior). I think the new one is black over espresso.

I'd buy one if it could be had in Miami Blue of course.

How much? If it matters I am pretty sure the Etna Blue ones (as shown above) were only PDKs.

That Targa/Turbo/RS identity crisis of a car can probably be had here in the states. There's a place near me that specializes in that kinda stuff.

I’m sorry but that looks hideous. Was that made in China?
