Quick Jack for 991.2
 

Does anyone with a 991.2 use a Quick Jack hydraulic lift. Any issues with fitment or use? This seems like an easy solution to get to the car up quickly. The other option would be something like the Jack Point jack stands but 2 pairs would put me around $700. Costco has the Quick Jack for $999 currently. I don’t know if it user error or lack of reading the manual but some of the reviews make it seem like people have issues getting the unit operational. Quick Jack has plenty of YouTube videos that show various aspects of installation and use and troubleshooting so it seems fairly straight forward to get things going properly right away. Thanks for chiming in.

Works great. I have the 7000-EXT which is overkill for the P-car, but was needed for my trucks and Range Rover. Buy the rubber blocks to place against the jack points.

I used mine yesterday for a spark plug change. They are ideal for our cars. My buddy has a Cayenne and it was not wide enough to lift his car the normal way, maybe with the new spacers they just released. I got mine from Costco. It arrived in one day free shipping. I just noticed I had the left and right sides mixed up yesterday but it doesn't matter that much, you just have to reach in to release the locks to let it down.

Do these have a leveling feature if the ground is not level?

Yes. But you also need to be within a certain level of grade.

I have a fixed scissor lift and I am very jealous of your quick jacks. They can be taken out of the way and stored. Mine are *always* in the way, in the garage, requiring ugly ramps, and limit access under the car. Might be a little more stable in a quake, but's that's about the only benefit... Buy some ! i'd trade you ;-)

Any preference (or requirement) for the regular vs extended length?

Which one did you get? I need to get one myself and wasn't sure which model for 991.2. Thanks and appreciate the posts.

I am not sure the extended length model will work for our cars as they fit just about right. I did notice they have a new extender piece they just came out with for around $200 that will widen it for other cars. While the 5000 fits great for the 991, it was well short to lift my buddies Cayenne Turbo. I am not even sure the extender piece will lift it correctly. We put the lifts sideways on the jack point and the frame and it lifted it but not idea.

Their website lists the max length between F&R jack points allowable for the standard vs EXT model (I think it was around 66" or so). So definitely you'd want to check if planning to lift cars other than the 911. A lot of cars , not just SUVs , will be too long to fit on the standard model.
