Bought a set from Costco, quite the deal. I imagine I’ll be selling my JackPoint jackstands, but will need to use the Quick Jack for a while before I decide for sure that is what I want to do.

My set showed up today...ordered over the weekend. Have them assembled and will give em a go tomorrow.

Make sure they sent you Box 1 of 3, Box 2 of 3, and Box 3 of 3. My boxes were annihilated during shipping and it was only after assembly that I realized they sent me two of the same lifts. Functionally fine, but dangerous.

Does anyone with a 991.2 use a Quick Jack hydraulic lift. Any issues with fitment or use? This seems like an easy solution to get to the car up quickly. The other option would be something like the Jack Point jack stands but 2 pairs would put me around $700. Costco has the Quick Jack for $999 currently. I don’t know if it user error or lack of reading the manual but some of the reviews make it seem like people have issues getting the unit operational. Quick Jack has plenty of YouTube videos that show various aspects of installation and use and troubleshooting so it seems fairly straight forward to get things going properly right away. Thanks for chiming in.

Two jacks and regular jackstands get my car up in the air already. If didn't already have this and with only a $300 difference I'd HAVE to go Quick Jack.

Every time I get tempted to order one from Costco, I read the reviews. Seems to be a steady stream of QC issues in the reviews. Will check again in a few months to see if they have gotten any better.

I recently purchased one from Costco. I've been working on my cars for 15+ years with a jack and jack stands. Quickjack is a game changer for me. So easy to move around and use. Feels very stable and works well with my Carrera T and even my R8.

If you are considering buying I highly recommend it. Pick of my son's Focus RS on the QuickJack.

Yea, some of the reviews were not great. No risk with Costco though. So many people have them and use them without issue that I think they will work well.

Had called and emailed QJ because my head unit was not working. Was told someone would get back to me in 24 hours. 36 hours later, radio silence. I tried calling again, and phone went straight to voicemail, with no one calling back. So I went back to Costco and they were terrific, exchanged the items no problems, no questions. Got new unit in a few days. BtW, QJ FINALLY called me back about 2 weeks later, about a week after I got my replacement. While my unit seems to work fine, their customer service really seems to suck wind.

I had the opposite customer service experience. I had one fitting that was defective (the hydraulic fluid leaked out of the center hole, wouldn't fully seal). I called them, they asked me to e-mail them a picture/video of what was happening. I sent the e-mail, got an acknowledgement the next day and they immediately sent out a replacement fitting which I received a few days later. They were responsive and quickly remedied the problem.

The extensions are still 6” or so shorter to fit Cayennes. The new 6000xlt seems to barely fit Cayennes. I am hopefully they introduce longer extensions to the market soon. For now, I have to lift Cayennes sideways.

15621497[/url]]I am not sure the extended length model will work for our cars as they fit just about right. I did notice they have a new extender piece they just came out with for around $200 that will widen it for other cars. While the 5000 fits great for the 991, it was well short to lift my buddies Cayenne Turbo. I am not even sure the extender piece will lift it correctly. We put the lifts sideways on the jack point and the frame and it lifted it but not idea.

Does anyone have a pic of using the unit “sideways” to lift Cayenne? Curious about this method, thank you!

Lost sight this thread somehow. Sorry.

I got the 5000. Lifted the 911 today a few times in preparation for some work. The rear short height jack pads were a bit indented with the Deleon jacking pads that I bought from a rennlister. So far so good.

Perhaps an obvious question but is the quickjack either down or up? For example shouldn’t use partially raised?

Has 2 positions and must be locked in one of those to avoid collapse.

Quick jack clearly states that the hydraulics need to be unloaded and the lift must be lowered onto either the lower or the upper locks. That way you have unloaded the hydraulics and now have a mechanical lock.
