Question PSE Exhaust Rattle at Low idle

HELP!

2012 991 S Coupe
At a low idle in park or in gear I am getting a rattle in the left side Porsche Sport Exhaust. When I place my foot on the exhaust tip it silences the noise. As soon as I take my foot off it returns.

Anyone had any experience with this?
Could it be an internal baffle?
Could it be a heat shield I can't see?
Could it be an exhaust mount broken?

Any insight would be helpful as my fingers are crossed it isn't internal to the PSE system.

TIA!

I just installed the PSE and had the similar problem. A fellow renlister gave me a great tip. Try slightly sliding back the appropriate exhaust tip just a bit. Worked like a charm! Good luck.

DILLON FISTER....FD MOTORSPORTS....I HAD MY INDIE REMOVE MY MUFFLERS AND SEND THEM TO HIM....HE RBUILDS THE BAFFLES OR WHATEVER HE DOES....NO MORE RATTLES! IF IT ENDS UP BEING THE MUFFLER INTERNALS THAT'S WHERE YA GOTTA GO!

I had a similar problem a while back: I couldn't hear the rattle from inside the car, but my cousin noticed it from outside. Somehow, one of the two brackets that hold the exhaust on had a bolt back out so the bracket was flopping around creating the rattle. Of course they dont sell the bolt individually, and searching online and 6 hardware stores offered no results. I had to buy a $80 bracket to replace a $1 bolt.

Good luck!

hehe, yep. Darin modifies the OEM side cans for an extremely reasonable price. He'll send you a set and you return yours. I added his side mufflers to both my 991's w PSE and the exhaust note is beyond exceptional. Flip on the PSE and find a heavy right foot...you won't hear any rattle ;-)
