Default Dragy Results for Cobb Tuned 991.2 Targa

So, I am new to this Dragy testing but, I wanted to have some idea of what numbers my car was putting down.
Slight elevation might have something to do with the lousy times, but the car definitely wasn't shifting precisely.
I did all of my runs with the traction control ON, so maybe with it off there might be some improvement.
The Dragy was also just sitting on top of my dash and sliding around a bit. I need to secure it.

Overall not happy at all with any of it.. I know the shifting was the main issue and in automatic you can't really control where the car decides to shift..
Feel free to chime in and let me know what you think of these numbers.. I did 3 runs I think and picked the best from each category. THX

Nice stuff!

That 1/4 mile

60-130 seems a it off by the graph...
There should be magnetic mounts in the box with dragy. Pop one on the dash and the Dragy will stay fixed.
I traction was nannying a bit. Turning off should help reduce the drop.

Wait. What mode 991.2 do you have again? Am I reading that right. 11 sec @125mph for the 1/4 mile? That’s insane from only a tune. What sort of power are you making?

I'm telling you that all of the "track" was slightly elevated. It didnt read flat 0 grade anywhere. The times would be a little better I think.
Also, I need to take the traction control OFF. I am hoping thats why the car shifted so strangely, to compensate for slippage or something.

I have a 2018 991.2 targa GTS with Full Kline exhaust and Cobb Pro Tune, which is a customized stage 2 tune.
I have no idea anymore what power I am putting down to wheels. Maybe 550hp?

Oh, and its winter and Im running All Season Michelins on Turbo S wheels if that matters. Targa top was up

Also, Looks like I let off way early on the half mile. Hey, its my first time ever using a Dragy or Launch Start so give me a few days to run it..

Hell. The fact that it pulled those numbers at an incline is more than impressive!

I know one place where the slope was 0% (Mexico, NY lol).

Anything below 1% should be good tho.

Your 1/2 mile seems off, as does the 60-130 time. My old 335 times are similar lol

Got it. GTS surely has the power from the get go, but with your supporting mods, that’s impressive power. Those are great numbers, even through you are still trying this out. Impressive.

Impressive? Really. I am not so impressed. I dont know what a stock GTS Targa does but it must be damn close to 3.2.
I was hoping to be below 3.0 with the amount of HP and mods, but this wasn't an optimal condition with snow tires, grade and perhaps traction control issues.
I do know that the 60-130 when I drive around is ridiculously fast so, I need to not test from Launch and just punch it on freeway to get an accurate number.
AND, secure the Dragy because that cant help with accuracy sliding across dash..

But thank you!!

thr 0-60 for a PDK GTS is around 3 seconds flat. I’m sure that you will break 3seconds once you get the proper rubber and conditions. For the mods you have, I would think that a 2.7 flat would be attainable, if not better. I was impressed with the quarter mile trap speed. That’s pretty fast. I had no idea the 991.2 GTS was that fast. I guess I know what my next Porsche will be. Check back late spring, with the proper rubber and track conditions. I think you’ll see the results you were looking for.

Thanks for sharing(seriously).

Something is off. Probably the draggy.

For reference my RWD GTS on stage 1 matched or beat all your times. Even the 60ft and 0-60.. I also trapped 2MPH faster in the 1/4 mile.

You should be sub 3 seconds 0-60. Dont be discouraged though as were talking tenths and hundreds of seconds. Many many factors.

Try PSM sport and leave it in sport plus.. The launch can be tricky as sometimes it will prematurely shift or bang off the rev limiter in automatic.. Pop it over in manual mode and practice at reacting fast so you can nail that 1-2 shift.. I know it sounds dumb saying this about a PDK but it is what it is. Timing.

I need to practice doing it manually but yes it was banging off of the rev limiter.
I had the **** turned to sport plus on all tests. I dont know what to do with the buttons on the console or which settings would be ideal..

Thanks for sharing. I figured the 60 to 130 would of been at least in the high 7s. Anyhow, I'll get my vbox and share my times with the custome hydratune.

My 60-130 shows 8.43 so is that good or bad?

I leave sport suspension/chassis OFF.

The dampers are not as stiff with the setting OFF and allow some squat on the rear suspension for better traction.

The banging off the rev limiter on the launch definitely cost you time.

Sorry. I corrected my post. I meant high 7s. 8.43 isnt horrible but would of figured high 7s would of been more accurate.

I think I can get that figure much lower because I can do that manually. The 0-60 and 1/4 mile is a little more difficult with the automatic shifting.

Lets see what it looks like with fixed Dragy mounted to dash, Sport Suspension OFF and then Both manual and auto tests..

Tomorrow early AM may be the only time to open her up...
