Cost of adding back model badges

Cost of adding back model badges
Hello folks.
it is funny that badge delete is an option but what we found was a CPO car and we think badges in silver will look nice on the car in the rear
Did any one add back the badges “Porsche , 911 Carrera S ‘, if so , what was the cost of badges and labor?
Thx

Technically speaking, if a car came from the factory with model designation delete, the "PORSCHE" is approximately 10mm lower. Something for you to consider. You can always go back and add the model, but depending how your car was spec'd it could look a little off.
Only model can be ordered deleted. Not "PORSCHE".
Are you saying the car you saw had nothing?

Even model designation delete cars have PORSCHE across the back. The cost varies quite a bit because Porsche prices the badges vastly differently depending on color and what they say and you should find a dealer who has the template to install them. The silver PORSCHE is like $40 and they go up from there. Some are very expensive for whatever reason.

I once got an estimate from a certified repair shop for repainting the back bumper cap. They included new factory silver "PORSCHE" letters and the "911 Carrera S" script in the estimate and would not reuse what was already on the car. They explained that the lettering was a Porsche factory part that came in a plastic template housing that guaranteed perfect "from the factory" alignment and that was the approved way to do it.
I don't recall the precise amount but I think it was about $250 for that configuration. Other variants were less.

Some body shops have the template so you could call around and if you find one that does I guess you could offer to pay them to install the letters if you provide them. Check with your local dealer as to what shops they use, and they have the templates as well but odds are they will charge more but not more than 1 hour so it would be that much. And you can get the decals on eBay or one of the discount parts places.

Most Porsche certified body shops have a location frame with multiple inserts for installing any model number along with “Porsche”. I bought the letters from Suncoast and a body shop charged me about $200 to install. The templates are very expensive.

If that were my car, I'd order a midnight blue metallic "PORSCHE" from Eric at BumperPlugs and have that applied without a model. IIRC, the distance at the middle is 31mm down from the bottom of the spoiler for the factory setup with model destination delete. Let me know if you need a re-check on that measurement.
