I was looking into signing up with them, but saw these reviews. Have you guys made a claim before, and how was the experience? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I have not made any claims but did speak with Porsche service manager at two dealerships and both said the warranty covers Porsche labor rate and pays for Porsche parts.

Our dealer has an arrangement with Fidelity where they will pay the times set in the Porsche service guide, whereas other companies use their own rate book and the car owner is responsible for the difference. Best bet is to check with your dealership and get what they recommend to minimize issues.

I seem to remember that there are two warranty companies with Fidelity in their name. I also remember reading that one of them is a scam?

I guess I would expect aftermarket warranties to be hit and miss, but those reviews are pretty bad. Sounds like talking to your SA is key to make sure they have a good relationship with Fidelity. I've got about 1.5 yrs of CPO warranty left on my '13 C2S, but plan to get an extended warranty after that.

The reviews really are terrible. I was planning to purchase a Fidelity Platinum warranty when my original 4 year - 50k mile warranty is about to expire in May 2020. Now I am having serious second thoughts.

Any reviews or feedback on the Porsche Branded warranty? I know that it is actually through a third party, but maybe with Porsche support service is better.

^^^ Same here, I was thinking about adding the Fidelity to my next purchase, 991.1 C2S, having second thoughts.

Anyone have experience/opinions on MaxCare from Carmax?

Thanks,

Karl

I am in the same boat with many. Planning to get a warranty after cpo expires and have seen lots of talk here about Fidelity being first choice. Now I wonder. Seems interesting that there hasn't been any reaction from someone with actual claim experience on this forum. Most everyone seems to opt for platinum to get comprehensive coverage particularly for major items like trans, engine.,etc. If no one or few have had a claim, are we all kidding ourselves about the value of an extended warranty??

For many, insurance provides peace of mind however, it does come at a price.

If there is no evidence of actual claim resolution, then I don't have piece of mind!!

"Something broke. Warranty paid. Life went on" makes for a boring review, not one that many people will bother to post on any review sites.

I bought a Fedelity extended warranty when I bought a new 4Runner last May. I ended up trading it in and I have been fighting to get my money back since last February. Fidelity is a joke.

Its a pretty good warranty as most of what you do is go to a dealer and Carmax pays out. Well documented that for some time getting a luxury car at Carmax was a good deal with their warranty since it was pretty low cost (they make it up selling all the warranties on Camrys and such).

Since a few years back, they have raised the cost of luxury warranties substantially.

Check out Doug Demuro's Land Rover report if you want an example of why

We had Fidelity on our previous 987 sold by our Porsche dealer and it was a smooth experience for the 3-4 repairs we had done (went back to same dealer for all work).
