Yes, usually within about 6 months of factory warranty expiration. There are mileage milestones though where the prices go so if you are getting close to one of those it may be better to buy it a little early and the warranty retailer can tell you what those are.

When I bought mine, the prices jumped quite a bit after 35K miles. I bought at 34,600. Whew!!

Anyone know of a company covering GT cars? Tried to get fidelity on my GT3 with 18k and they turned me down saying the GT2/3/RS are ineligible (not too surprising I guess).

Yeah i would say 4-6 mos before warranty expires.

I have a 2012.5 with CPO good till April of 2020. I am probably going to pull the trigger late this year (prob in Nov/Dec) I have 32,000 miles on the clock right now and will def make sure I buy before hitting 35k (i do about 400-500 miles a mos so i should be fine)

I had mine kick in the day before the CPO ran out.

Otherwise, you starting the extended warranty clock before you have to, IMO. Give Michael a call - he'll talk you through it.

How does one get a CPO warrant that runs from 2012.5 to 2020? (7+ years?) ? I thought CPO was 2 additional years past the factory 4.

There could be some years in between the factory warranty and when it was certified for resale.

Is either 6 years from the car's In Service date or 2 years after purchases as a CPO vehicle.

Porsche can CPO cars that's thirteen previous model years from the original in-service date with less than 124,000 miles.

So in my case, is basically a 2 year warranty and everything is up to CPO car standard (which is big because the CPO warranty covers a LOT of stuff vs. aftermarket)

People keep referring to Micheal, but have also posted that you can't buy out of state warranties. I don't think all of these people live in Louisiana?

Can someone clarify this with a link to actual data?

Just get in touch with M. Jordon and he will tell you what you can or cannot buy in your state since he is the one you will be buying from, not any of us here. Search this forum on extended warranty if you have other questions.

Did what you suggested. Micheal said there are countless posts about people buying warranties out of state from him so the information about not being able to buy out of state is fake news

So there you have it - can't believe everything you read online! I have no clue why people spread false information so openly...makes no sense.

Why? You're wasting a bunch of money for nothing by doing that. As long as you don't cross above the mileage threshold. I got my Fidelity Platinum the day before my CPO ended, which is what the dealer recommended as well (as if I need their recommendation, as it's just common sense). They said to go a day early and do it just so it's all processed and ready to kick in once the CPO is up.
