Default Let's show some love for rear wipers

Well, yesterday was the day that I finally received my 2019 C2S with a key feature that likely with get a bit of notice by my fellow Porsche fanatics ... the beloved rear wiper ...

Of course, everyone knows the story behind this highly demanded option ... if not, check out the following: The Unlikely Story of How Porsche DNA Probably Ended up on Your Car.

I simply had to start off with something a bit more special about my car before following up with a few pics of the more common seen rest of the car ... other notable selections included the black exhausts, the painted rear lid slats and the painted Carrera Sport wheels.

And yes, already doing the local errands and picking dinner

Only 50 or so miles of my own on it so far but certainly a pleasure to drive and quite a different experience coming from my previous "S" (a Mini Cooper S Clubman with manual tranny). Got the insurance arranged and visited two PPF installers for quotes ... both estimates came in around $1800 for a full-frontal custom, one is Xpel Ultimate Plus, the other Suntek Ultra - difficult decision but leaning toward the one that has much more Porsche experience since their installer does many of the cars sent over from the dealership.

Congrats on the beautiful T. Love the rims you selected.

+ 1 for the rear wiper club.

Other than the wiper and automatic transmission (PDK), it's beautiful! My neighbor has a minivan with both of those features.

Thanks ... funny how when I first saw these wheels on a Carrera White car, I really didn't like them and told the dealer he would have to swap them out if I were to consider buying the car. In the end, I found that they look great on GT Silver and I'm really happy with the decision even though the sales guy kids me about our earlier exchange.

Please note, while I'm happy for all those that chose to get a T, this is an S (which I chose over a T primarily for getting some of the same extras, e.g. RAS, but also retaining the creature comforts that the T trims out).

Beloved by some, shunned by many. Nice car otherwise but make sure you back in your parking spot so you will not see it! Otherwise, I like the painted grill slats, which I got as well...adds a nice touch to the rear.

KILL all wipers...... LOL......Mine came with a rear wiper and I killed it. I hated it. It ruins the lines of the car. It was a massive $9 GBP. Basically a glass plug.

Nice car, spend the $9 GBP LOL. (p.S. The brand is actually called, "Kill all wipers" Seriously. )

Where did you get the glass plug and did you have to remove the wiper hardware and motor?

In all practicality, the rear wiper is a good call living in the Pac NW.

Good deal that you can order it your way. I attempted to do a large sunroof delete on an Audi Q5 but still have to pay $1300 anyway and requires a $5000 deposit for the order. Good bye!

Adams Polishes glass sealant, and wipers are a thing of the past.

Many of you guys are overlooking the historical homage.

Check this out: "The Rear Wiper: A Vital Strand of Porsche DNA" - quote from article: "If you spot a vintage or contemporary Porsche with the optional rear wiper, it is a safe bet that it is most likely driven by a true Porsche connoisseur."

There you go.

Rear wiper is great if you drive the car in the rain.

Mine is set for auto reverse usage and I note that less than a day into ownership, I've already used it for real
