I tried to order PTS about 4 weeks ago for the 991 that got built last week. I knew it would result in a delay, but was told I had missed the cutoff by about a month. Not sure if that applied to just my car or all PTS orders for 991's.

Default A word of caution on posting the 'Confidential' Porsche PTS list

Dkk: Did you happened to notice this stern reminder from Porsche that appears

Do you know that the dealer that made that list available to you can get into
trouble with PCNA & PAG if they find out you posted on a public forum?
Why don't you asked them if what you did is OK before this can get you
into further grief with your local dealer, either Chandler or North Scottsdale?
So caveat emptor.

Personally, I think it's a very short sighted policy of Porsche to insist in keeping
this list 'confidential'. And I have been lobbying hard for them to change it.
The policy started around May of 2015, perhaps as a result of our successful
effort here on Rennlist to make both PTS & 'Porsche Exclusive' options better
known & less opaque to Porsche customers. Some of this education was
accomplished via the following threads with the contributions of many members
of our enthusiast community worldwide. And it was a very informative &
relevant information that helped many with their Porsche custom orders!

And as soon as Porsche created that 'confidential' label back in 2015, I explained
to the readers of Rennlist that in my opinion it was totally wrong & counterproductive.
Here is an example that I wrote about it as it appears on post #1 of the revised
thread 'Reference Guide to PTS' which is a 'Sticky' on the 991 gt forum:

*
Even though I still receive copies of the latest Porsche PTS lists from various sources
in Europe, Middle East,US & Canada, I have chosen to honor Porsche's wishes. Thus
I discontinued my practice of posting these PTS lists in public. Ultimately it's their company
& their business...and if they are entitled to do as they please with their options. Others
may not have the same concerns or care to adhere to Porsche's wishes with regards to
this PTS list. But I just wanted you to know the issues before you go any further in case
it might save you some headaches if you were unaware of the 'confidential' nature of this
information.

Evil...You know better than encourage this, especially since the poster might
not know that he is not supposed to post this information in public & might
land him in 'hot water'.

The print out I think is a guideline.
For example a 992 color is Aventurine Green Metallic.
I wanted to get it for a 991 allocation next month,
however it’s a PTS. Not worth $11,400.
'Sapphire Blue' is an approved color,
not only for the 991/718 but for the
Panamera/Macan. And it has been
on the approved list for a period of
time. So this is beyond a 'guideline'.
By the way, the PTS list posted by
Dkk is dated 6/26/2018.

And if history is going to be repeated,
Porsche will start the PTS approval
process from scratch when the 992
starts production. Every new model,
with its new surface materials &
interior trims, will need to be feasibility
tested to make sure it will work correctly
(not fade at different rates, etc) on these
new surfaces & not create a warranty
nightmare for Porsche. So don't assume
that a color you see on the PTS list for
the 991 will be automatically available
initially for the 992.

At $11k, though, not sure I would have considered it. I would rather put that money into other parts of the car (PCCBs, Burmester, new wheels, etc).
Agree, I’m out at 11k, rather have PCCBs.
