Carmine red is nice, but I still like guards better. reminds me of my youth in the 80's :-)

Uummm... Seems like a lot to put on a simple red paint color. Also, way to bring back and old thread.

I have owned 2 guards red Porsches, and now own a Carmine Red 991. I am a red kind of guy and have always loved my GR Porsches color right up until I park next to a CR Porsche! Then I wish mine was CR! Carmine Red is just a deep and rich looking red that draws my eyes to it every time! I made the mistake of choosing GR twice over CR but now I have no regrets and love my Carmine Red 991.2 CS Cabriolet!

Both colors look amazing in person.
Guard Red is something you see similar color from other brands/cars and Carmine Red is something very unique and special for Porsche specific color in my opinion.

The Guards Red definitely stands out in a sea of white, silver and gray cars running down the road for sure. Still one of my favorites that has stood the test of time.

Guards Red has a lot of orange in it, especially in sunlight. Carmine is a blood red with no orange.

They're basically the same as Ferrari's Rosso Scuderia vs Rosso Corsa.

Scuderia = Guards (left side); Corsa = Carmine (right side).
