Perfect example of what I love and hate about Carmine. The color itself is beautiful. But it just looks harsh against the black trim, tires and wheels. Something about CR just looks garish to me when it's up against black. Even in person, it seems the same to me, it doesn't flow with the rest of the car. I like the color more than guards, but not on a car. Guards, while more tomato, just flows with all the other color shades on the car.

The OP asked for opinions and he's simply stating his. Good for him.

Also, FYI...it's Baskin Robbins and that's a fact not an opinion.

Carmine is lipstick red, as my wife says. GR has an orange tint in certain light, and can almost be confused with lava orange! Carmine is a great red, along with Arena Red.

I call it Hooker Lipstick Red. I have a Carmine GTS and the color is just stunning, no matter what the lighting may be, but it definitely is a chameleon. I agree with the post above, the interior and the wheels need to be black. 3 fairly accurate representations of Carmine, although as someone said it is difficult to capture the beauty of the color on a camera, you need to see it in person:

The first pic almost looks like it is on a model train layout...pretty cool shot.

I would say Guards Red is a pure naivety colour, honest without affectation, like a youthful person, a moral character of the 90s, timeless like the spring, while Carmine Red is sophisticated, complex, difficult, a little bit narcissistic, thinking about itself how the others look at it more elegant, cult and rich than any other colour, and so, the type of guy of the first half of XXI century, a guy which I don't like at all! Cheers

So after attempting to translate this, I guess CR is a gen z hipster color?
