Even if it was programmed to no lift shift (ie hold correct throttle mapping) it cant be good for the clutch. Especially with the extra tq of the turbo engines.

As i stated the no lift shift is seamless and very smooth. In track use I mainly use it for the 3 to 4 upshift and by the boost gauge there is less fall off in boost. My 996 GT2 had the no lift upshift programmed into the ECU when I did a tune and never had any problems. Of course if you have a PDK all this discussion is moot.

Great to know!!! I kind of always wanted to try it and can see higher gears being smoother. Have u tried 1->2 or 2->3? 3->4 is over 100mph at WOT.

Long story short I am investigating either a T or GTS RWD MT now as I believe it is a better fit for what I use it for.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to drive one yet, only the PDK, and was interested to know if the Flat Foot Shift in the GT3 was also in the Carrera, S, T or the GTS's. My one fear is that all the manual turbo cars I have had unlike a PDK they lose boost between gears and make it less fun to drive.
From my experience coming from a Cayman GTS, the key to enjoying my 991.2 GTS (manual, coupe, SPASM, sort of a T+ you could say) is to drive it like it still has a NA engine. I keep the RPMs above 3K, and cycle between 3rd 4th and 5th gears when on the interstate for my daily spirited commute. I never use 7th and rarely 6th. Great fun and sounds good. Lag not an issue, and neither is drone with this strategy.

If it’s the same transmission as the .1 GTS then it’s a no go for no lift shifts.

I have tried it on the track many times but the clutch just won’t grab hard enough on the up shift.

The 991.2 has a different manual transmission (and pdk) from the .1 according to the technik manual.

Not very different. Simply a few different ratios and perhaps some durability enhancements.

Qualifies. And, in silver, as one of the best looking production 911s to date.

(In fact, I prefer the 997.1 GT3's visuals to my own 991... )

Anybody who says the 3.0 TT sound is underwhelming has heard the stock exhaust. With the Cargraphic cat delete, it is the loudest and best sounding stock 911 ive ever heard. With PSE turned off the sound increase is maybe just noticeable. Except when starting during the fast idle, and when hitting it with heavy throttle advice 2500-3000. It's noticeably louder then, but when PSE is turned off, nobody will miss that exhaust sound LOUD enough to turn everybody's head at a PCA event. To the ear, the exhaust pitch is lower with PSE turned on.
My presumption is that the 200 cell cats would also increase sound in a similarly pleasing way, but have not heard any 3.0 TT with just that exhaust mod.

Never done the 1to 2 shift but have done the 2 to 3, 3 to 4 and 4 to 5 this is all WOT at redline on the race track. If it ever goes to the drag strip I will do the 1 to 2 shift.
