Even if it was programmed to no lift shift (ie hold correct throttle mapping) it cant be good for the clutch. Especially with the extra tq of the turbo engines.

As i stated the no lift shift is seamless and very smooth. In track use I mainly use it for the 3 to 4 upshift and by the boost gauge there is less fall off in boost. My 996 GT2 had the no lift upshift programmed into the ECU when I did a tune and never had any problems. Of course if you have a PDK all this discussion is moot.

Many are not happy with my comments about the GT3 Touring Model not really being anything but a Wingless GT3. They have not added back in any insulation or other creature comforts. When I purchased the car I really hoped it would be a good mix between my Turbo S and a GT3. Long story short I am investigating either a T or GTS RWD MT now as I believe it is a better fit for what I use it for.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to drive one yet, only the PDK, and was interested to know if the Flat Foot Shift in the GT3 was also in the Carrera, S, T or the GTS's. My one fear is that all the manual turbo cars I have had unlike a PDK they lose boost between gears and make it less fun to drive.

If it’s the same transmission as the .1 GTS then it’s a no go for no lift shifts.
I have tried it on the track many times but the clutch just won’t grab hard enough on the up shift.

The 991.2 has a different manual transmission (and pdk) from the .1 according to the technik manual.

Count me in - as long as my 997.1 GT3 with KW suspension, single mass fly wheel and shorter gearing qualifies for "wilder iron" ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I love my manual T (9,000 km on the clock after 5 months) - perfect mix of DD-capability and driving fun on alpine roads - all this for a reasonable price in the Porsche universe![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)

(In fact, I prefer the 997.1 GT3's visuals to my own 991...

My presumption is that the 200 cell cats would also increase sound in a similarly pleasing way, but have not heard any 3.0 TT with just that exhaust mod.
