Default Clutch sometimes "sticks" at floor

2016 991.1 GTS manual.

I just returned from a road trip, and my clutch pedal "stuck" to the floor (did not return to it's normal position) three times. All three times I had very limited use of the clutch, and
was able to somehow pull over to safe spots. Upon inspecting, the pedal was stuck near the floor. I was able to physically pull the pedal up to its "normal" standing position - and
was able to enjoy a nice operating clutch... until it happened again (two more times).

All three times, before I pulled the pedal up - I checked to see if there was anything visible that would cause this (floor mat, etc.) but nothing was out of the ordinary.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

Seems to me there was a thread somewhere about a bearing failure on the clutch pedal?

Probably the slave cylinder. Visit your dealer.

I agree on both points.

I'm amazed this still happens. In the '90's, my boss's '89 M5 had this issue yet he was happy for me to drive from England across through Germany and back twice before fixing it (slave cylinder). After the shock the first time and hooking your toe under the pedal to lift it up, it became natural, even on the autobahn where it happened more often.
Still a sticky problem to solve it seems.

The OP hasn't posted since the initial post 5 days ago. I am assuming he has had it looked at and repaired as driving around with that issue is ridiculous.
Can you tell us the resolution?

OP here. Sorry for the delayed response. I'll bring it into McKenna next week and have them look at it. I'll post a follow-up when they let me know what the issue was.

It’s probably your slave cylinder. Be very careful- in the 997s the clutch and break peddle shared the same slave cylinder. Not sure about the 991s. Be really careful when driving or get it towed. Ask me how I know ...

I had this happen to my 991, for me it was a failed pressure plate which would cause the clutch pedal to stick. The fingers were bent causing it to bind. But from the OP's description it could just be something funky in the hydraulics of the clutch system.

OP (again) here.

I took the car into McKenna today and told them about the clutch sticking intermittently. The Service Advisor said they would have to "reproduce" the problem, and asked if
the Manager could drive the car back and forth from Norwalk (McKenna) to Yorba Linda. I wonder what will happen if they can't reproduce the problem. It happens maybe around
every 500 miles or so.

I'll post the outcome.
