Thanks, just looking for a warm & fuzzy. I agree that all would be fine now but am wondering if it was a sign of them deteriorating.

PCCB is nothing but benefits.

You should probably do a PPI on the rotors. Crazy...I know. But the dealer can pop them into tool/machine that will tell you how much meat is left and they can tell you the condition of the rotor. Some race shop indys might have this machine but it's expensive. Other makes that sell Carbon brakes might als have them, like a Chevy dealer that sells a lot of vettes. The hourly might be lower than Porsche.

I am having an Indy shop install them and they are coming from Germany so a PPI is not an option.

My concern with PCCBs is how grabby they are and how that would make heel and toe a challenge. I had PCCBs on my 991 TTS and I think they are perfect for that car. On my CT, I went steel and happy I did.

IMHO, they're grabby on the GT cars (pads) but perfect on the T

Some specs for reference.

Still front disk 350mm 11.3 kgs
Still rear disk 330mm 9 kgs

PCCB front disk 410 mm 6. 9kg
PCCB rear disk 390 mm 6.2 kg

Rotation insertia saving between PCCB and Still brake
(11.3 - 6.9) * 2 + (9 - 6.2) * 2 = 8.8 + 5.6 = 14.4 kg

FYI PCCB brake pads are 2 kg less weight than Still brake pads but are not rotation mass.

They're great on the base C2 so I imagine fine on the T.

God bless,

With the darker satin wheels you'll hardly notice brake dust...
A bit late to reply but actually the opposite is true on both points:

- darker wheels do Not hide brake dust better. I have forged matte black AMG factory wheels on my AMG and they show brake dust just as well as a silver wheel. Actually, they are much harder to keep clean and the brake dust really binds to the surface. Avoid black wheels without ceramic brakes!

- ceramic brakes make sense for street use, not track use. They wear almost as quickly on track as iron rotors, so it doesn’t make sense - unless you don’t mind paying $20k for new rotors every few track days. On streets, they should last about 100K miles.

After driving for a few months with the PCCBs I can say I am VERY happy. They are not grabby at all, and my wife drove the car and said the same thing. They look great, feel great and I get zero brake dust so for the money spent I feel they were well worth it.

The stopping power of PCCBs are nothing short of outstanding. So glad I ordered them. In the words of Pete Stout, "when you turn up the wick" on the T, the brakes are RIGHT there to take it down. Incredible.
