You’re a good man and smarter than me....I had to buy her a Macan to fund my 911 obsession!

LOL...I owe her an M2 (as long as she gets rid of her GSXR)

My wife is beginning to make some noise about wanting a Boxster just for herself. She wants a simple, base model, probably with a manual transmission.

Done. I’ll buy it whenever she’s ready.

Happy wife, happy life.

The formula has worked pretty well for the last 28 years, so I’ll stick with it. 😀

I took a similar approach with my current car, the Turbo S cabriolet. I don’t think I’ll do that again....

Most of the time, my payback is labor: stuff around the house or yard (especially holes in the ground). (I hate digging holes in rocky ground.) Occasionally "parallel" sports equipment (bikes, skis).

And then there was the MB E400...

For my wife, it took first agreeing to order her a Tesla Model S followed by reminding her of her lifetime ambition of wanting to own a 911 to finally break down her resistance to spending the money on getting this dream car. As it worked out, we ordered the Tesla on a Friday back in early May and the Porsche the following day - seems a lot to commit at one time but we'd been saving up for well over a decade since our last car purchase. Of course, her car showed up in a matter of weeks newly minted from the factory as mine nearly five months later is finally now sitting on a dock waiting for the ship ride over to the States.
