Took mine out yesterday for it's service before I store it for winter. Fortunately, it ended up being a beautiful day and i drove home last night with the top down.
For me, I typically will store it around Thanksgiving depending on weather otherwise at the hint of first snow. I don't have snow tires, nor plan on getting any. The biggest thing about driving in temps below 50 is being smart. Obviously these tires aren't supposed to be "performance" tires in these temps. It's hard to store it away when its a sunny day and our warmer days are limited. Just enjoy it carefully.

Mine goes away this Saturday. Multitude of reasons why it's not driven in the winter:
-sand (gravel) that gets dumped on the roads. Windshields on my DDs last about 18 months on average. The 911 deserves better.
-potholes
-salt and other deicers that go on the roads
-other drivers

That doesn't make sense... Lower temps = denser air = more power. Roughly 10% more based on those two temps.. all else being equal.
