991.2 Carrera S X51 Powerkit on Sale
I have attached the above picture showing the new X51 GTS turbochargers. The price of the kit which includes GTS Turbochargers, install hardware (clamps, orings and gaskets) and the 450HP dealer re-programming is $5,695.00 (effective today Oct 29, 2019)
A Porsche dealer will need to install/reflash the ECU update.
Sonnen has the kits in stock.
If you are wanting the engine air box cover for the Powerkit the cost is $294.95

991.two, the price includes the reprogramming from a Porsche dealer. If you just want the turbochargers the price is $5,695.00 (effective today Oct 29,2018)

I added this same kit to mine, dealer installed. The personality transformation was immediate and awesome! And my dealer contacts told me the Warranty I is not just a 2 year parts warranty. It adds to the 4 year new car warranty or the 6 year CPO warranty, whichever applies.
This is a special upgrade for the 991.2 S, and this is the lowest price I've seen...
I should also add that i sold my S takeoff turbos to a SoCal tuner for $3200. If you can sell yours similarly, adding this PowerKit is truly a no-brainer! I recommend you do it immediately. They won't last at this price...

It is certainly possibly that the PSE provides less back pressure at full power than the standard exhaust, however, the difference can't be much if there is no power increase quoted for PSE.

This is a good question. And I also wonder if the requirements that this kit be matched with SportChrono and PSE are ,mechanical requirements or simply part of Porsche's marketing plan, such as not making the kit available for base cars.

There is no Hp quoted for the X51 PowerKit on any model without PSE. Certainly there is less backpressure with PSE. But in the USA, few will use all the Hp without risking jail time It's the 10% torque increase that's wanted.
I may consider a tune when my warranty is expiring and i have 15-20k miles on it, and we have a better idea on the reliability from those who are tuning their new 991.2's. Till then, I'm playing it safe and preserving my warranty. I should mention that a tune shop in SoCal paid me a nice price for my S takeoff turbos. It cut my X51 installed price by nearly half. Good for me, and good for the guy with the 911T being tuned. He'll probably get more than 100 added Hp and ft-lbs torque. For more serious duty, a third radiator might be needed. Hopefully enough track rats do this and report results, to build a case for reliability.

I was asking in regards to T owners. The T comes with PSE and optional PCCB’s. So in theory I should be able to add this to my T. The only thing I haven’t worked out yet is how to do the ECU update/tune. If a T owner could over come that obstacle with the cobbAp I am sure there would be several that would jump all over this deal.

Thus if you have the base motor you're on your own. Caveat emptor.
Long short you have to have a S with PSE and SC. Also if you have RAS the kit comes with additional brake coolers.

The base engine models have smaller brakes, so that might factor into Porsche's decision not to offer tha X51 PowerKit for base engines

The back pressure difference is probably there, but to an unknown degree. When you order the performance exhaust on a Corvette, the engine's power and torque ratings rise by 5 hp and 5 lb-ft. Porsche claims no such increase, which is either because the company can't be bothered, or because the reduction in back pressure is too small to usefully benefit the turbocharged engine.
But the fact remains that since the engine components are common among the base, S, and GTS engines, if one could add the PowerKit and take a base car from 370 to 450 hp, there would be little risk to the engine.
