Congrats! This is the part of waiting that was difficult for me.

So Dan, have you decided on a 991 targa or you still waiting for the 992 release to decide?

I've firmly decided to go with the 991.2 C2 with my November build.

Would love to get a Targa, but I'm buying outright and don't want to go as high as the 4S targa.

Love the Targa though - maybe that's the next one.

Here is the decision tree: PCA Raffle - win - get Targa GTS, lol.

Yes, I am waiting on the 992 launch to see what it is.

I’ll probably build a C2 based on my lease budget, but the Targa is calling to me. It did the last build, too, but decided on the C2 with a glass roof. If the Targa had a glass roof, it would be a done deal. For me, I like the open feel all the time that the glass offers, but the sunroof does not open as wide as the Targa (or vert). It’s a tough call.

I did a search to see if anyone made a glass panel for the Targa roof but didn’t find one.

Finally, if I did a Targa, It would just be a Targa 4 with a manual transmission. That’s enough for my sporting fun. Having Brit sports cars, one with 1150cc engine, my perspective on sporting fun is a bit different than most owners here.

I wanted to build a Targa 4 manual but local dealers said they couldnt get an allocation, Targa 4S and Targa GTS but not the 4. I don't normally care for convertibles, but the targa looks amazing.

I’ve reported TONS of squeaks and rattles in mine. I’ve fixed most but the glass top is still squeaky and creaky. I’ve given up on that ever ending.

2014. It was a launch vehicle. I tend to suspect they fixed something and I got the "beta version."

Mine is a 2014 Launch Vehicle as well and is pretty quiet. I think you just may have been the odd man out. Glad you have got most of them settled away by now though.

It took a long time. The thing had so many rattles after I bought it I almost tried to sell it off.

if I could just quiet the glass lid it would be perfect now!

Looks really nice! One question - is the paint metallic or solid?

Irish is a solid, non-metallic.

And a great color…for sure!

Picked up my Targa 4 on Friday already put 300 miles on it. Spent the extra $ I had on customized features vs upgrade to the 4S - long term the 4S will retain its value better but I plan on modding once warranty is done and as a daily driver once I get near 450HP what else do I need? The car stock is insanely fast up to and thru 90MPH+, AWD grips and never feels light or squirrelly esp with sports suspension mode on. By far the best looking 991.2- best ***, top up / down keeps the body lines and for daily driving I don’t notice the weight compared to my buddy’s 991 C2. If I wanted a track car I would have gotten a 718 or T. Really is a dream car.

Yes! Silver wheels with a dark body are so beautiful. Even better with a silver Targa bar.
