Since I’ll be in LA frequently for work, I decided to ship my 911 out there to enjoy some great driving roads in CA. Florida roads are so boring that it is sometimes difficult to really enjoy the car. Everything is flat and straight.

Did you add the gloss black trim to the door panel?

I'm interested too. I didn't realize the door panel in a non-leather car could be modified like that. Looks great.

Same here-I looked on my panel and it doesn't look like that piece is removable (seems molded into the panel). One day I will have to pull the panel for something-hopefully I can tell when I do so.

I had DB Carbon make these for me and paint them in piano black to match the standard dash trim. The standard (non-leather) interior door panels are really boring above the nice leather handle (at least on the T). To me this was a fail from Porsche for such an expensive car to have nothing there. The panels are just molded one piece vinyl (or some other similar material) and you can't realistically remove that trim insert and wrap it or replace it, because there is no trim insert.

The DB Carbon fit is perfect as they make them from a mold of a door panel. They're held on with high quality double sided tape. I think they look perfect and they really add that missing bit of detail from the interior. They even wrap the end of the door panel for a completely OEM look.

I’d message DB Carbon direct for a quote (they’re in Germany). I ordered them about a month ago and the exchange rate then worked out to just over $500 shipped. They’re carbon fiber with a gorgeous paint job. They look like a missing piece from the interior that was intended to be installed in the factory.
