I'm keeping my deposit and order for a 992 in place, now being a T, and hoping that delivery time is a LONG way out. That will give me time to live with the current car longer and make my decision at a later date. At this time, I will say I think i prefer the looks of my current car over the 992. Let's see what happens!

I've had the black manual T less than a week. As much as I enjoyed the white PDK, this car has me over the moon.

Tim - Can you share your thoughts on the 7 speed manual vs the PDK in the T? Cool that you have now owned both. TIA.

-having only 8000km (5000miles) versus the white car's 35000km (22000miles) puts it that much closer to the "brand new 911" I've told myself I'd get one day.
-I also told myself I'd never own another black car again. It's not a colour, it's a full time job! Having said that, 911s look bad-*** in black and with the subtle grey stripes and details the T nails it in the looks department. And being metallic, I tell myself (lie to myself?) it won't be quite as frustrating. It's NOT black, it's Jet Black Metallic!

-the manual/PDK comparison: Well, the PDK is simply an absolutely STUNNING piece of engineering. It is quite frankly the BETTER transmission. It can be very engaging, it reads my mind in a freakishly accurate manner, and sounds/feels VERY cool when driving aggressively (on a private road of course!). The 7-speed is NOT perfect. In my very short time with the car thus far, I find that the 1-4 gates are great with no issues. 5-7 are equally good going up through the gears, it's only when going down that the odd issue has happened (there's a joke in there somewhere.......but I'm 52 not 17).
Here's my take on the T and how the manual fits as well as the switched GTS to T order on the 992 (we won't discuss the 991 v 992 as I'm very torn). The manual does seem to fit the T's personality and that same personality is what has really struck a chord with me. This car has EVERYTHING that I personally want in my 911. It's EXTREMELY useable, as tactile as a non-GT3 911 gets, and is not $200K or more. Sorry, I will NOT call the T "budget" or "poor man's" because at this price level it most definitely is NOT a cheap car.
It has all the power I need for road use (actually far more than enough), all the little things that are great and make a modern car more liveable, useable, and enjoyable. I have the base 4-ways and foldable rear seats in the black car just as i did the white car and love them too. Access to the back is easy, the folding seats and rear seat belts create a higher shelf for my pup's crate as well as the means to secure it, and the support offered by the front seats is exemplary.
If i could: One T with full buckets, PDK, PCCBs, and the very cool "T interior package" (Guards red stitching for me please), and a car equipped EXACTLY the way my black car is with standard 4-way seats, rear seats, manual transmission.......so I already own half of that equation.
More gratuitous pics to prove I put Alexa my 5-month old JRT in the back.

Sadly it looks that the options
*Bucket seats
*Ceramic brakes
are not available in USA for the new 992 T.

Other than the manual, rear wheel steering, fire extinguisher, and no stripe delete, the black car is optioned identically to the white PDK I owned for 43 days. As to why I like the black car more I'd say there are several factors:
-having only 8000km (5000miles) versus the white car's 35000km (22000miles) puts it that much closer to the "brand new 911" I've told myself I'd get one day.

I also have one in Jet Black and thought the metallic flakes would help make it look clean but literally 2 minutes after a wash, it’s covered in dust and looks dirty. The black color and exhaust sound are the only criticisms I really have for my T. Its incredible car in most ways.
Btw Jet Black is one of the most rare colors on the T as most ppl got the standard black color.

I don’t think I’ve shared this one. Sorry for the background clutter, but the car just looks good under my garage LEDs+sun like this.
