I was flat out shocked by the Michelin AS/3 on our Abarth...a FAR better tire than the PZero Nero in both the wet and the dry. They transformed the car. Handled better, rode better, quieter, and fixed the car's freeway stability issues in the rain (not acceptable @ 70 mph), making it a non-issue. It's really a pity they're not available in 991 sizing.
With that said, I've had very good experience with Bridgestones...I like the logic Bridgestone uses for the shoulder and the resulting feedback on the way up to the limits.

I would imagine that they would not be nail/screw magnets like the P 0's??? Any opinions on this?
Sounds like a good solution for a DD in central VA winters where 40 and below temps can be up to 3 months in duration, although I would run them year round. As a DD, it's a PITA not being able to drive safely during these periods. And what's not to like about the price point!!

Sorry to digress- but now that I've experienced the Toyo R888R howl, I think I'll never ever complain about a regular street tire's noise ever again - it's pretty eye opening how bad tire noise can be.

Those are nothing, try driving an off-road vehicle on worn super swampers.

Thanks for the info on the Bridgestones. Our 991 ran for 28,000 miles on a set of all-season Toyo Proxes 4 Plus (https://www.toyotires.com/tire/patte...-proxes-4-plus). We used them on several long road trips--from the heat of west Texas to light snow in Banff. They seemed as quiet as the P-Zeros. We were on the road when they needed to be replaced (long story--not the tires fault), and we could not find anyone with the Toyos in stock. So now I'm running P-Zeros again. For the next set, I may go back to all-seasons, and I'll certainly check out these Bridgestones. For the kind of trips we take--all over the north and south--all-season tires make sense. Plus those Toyos lasted much longer than P-Zeros.

So I had the Bridgestone mounted on the stock GT3 wheels. Even though the Bridgestone are 305 like the sport cup 2s they don't fill the wheel like the Michelin's did. It's not terrible but not ideal either. To be honest it doesn't look that much better than the pics of those people who mounted 295 sottozeros on the 12 inch wheel.

Just my 2 cents
Based on the appearance of MY sidewalls with these tires on 11" wide rims, I would NOT put these tires on a 11.5" or a 12" rims.
They will appear stretched and expose the lip of the rim.
I'm drawing this conclusion after seeing these mounted on the pictures above, which were 12" rims on a GTS. They appear stretched and expose the side of the rim.
