Is 31/37 working ok on the 911 T ?

I am really glad I came across this thread. I just got my car back from the dealer, it was a lease, and I sold it back to them and they CPO’d it-I was running 32 in the front 38 in the back, and it still felt a little stiff. When I got it back from the dealership last weekend they inflated the rears to 45 in the front of the 35 and its Bouncing all over the place especially here in the New York metropolitan area where the roads are as bad as the property taxes😨. I think I’m going to follow your advice try 29/33

Not sure why dealers like to pump it up that high. When I picked up the car it was at 35 / 45. The car feels much better with lowered down pressure.. Currently running at 31 / 35. didn't go down to 29 / 31.

Im with Hurricane and currently running 30-33. Goes up to 35-38 on spirited drives even when 50F outside. Above that it gets squirrely.. 32-35 would be ok for normal driving, but for some reason less pressure is actually more comfortable in this car. Never experienced that before, at least to this extent.

Is there a reason the pressures are so much closer on the .2 between back to front? On my .1 with 20's, the manual states that the separation is +8 favoring the rear. The shop I had it at as usual inflated it to ridiculous mid 40's, but I brought it down. I live in a warm climate so when spirited driving on warm roads, it reaches mid 40's at the rear. When starting it up for the day at cold, it's like 39 rear which is about where the manual states it should be for partial load.

I have never run mine at 8lb difference front to rear on any of my 911's. I have always been 3-4. On my previous 4S I was at 31 x 35 and on the TTS I am at either 32 x 35 or same as the 4S or 1 lb less.

Do you go by what the manual states? Just curious as to why it shows such a vast difference on mine (2012.5).

Yeah, as a previous 991.1 owner, I thought it was odd that the pressure recommendations changed for the .2. I used to run ~ 31/37 (around 2 psi or so higher than comfort, partial load, if I remember). Odd that the pressure difference is smaller on the .2, front to rear. Even the max (165 mph+, full load) is slightly lower on the .2, if I recall correctly. Same size tires.
I will say I liked how it felt when driving enthusiastically recently, where it starts at around 32/39 and gets up to 36/44 or so when hot. I don't mind it to feel a bit "hoppy" as these cars are so planted that getting the rear to feel a bit "loose" while keeping it at reasonable speeds and G's isn't so bad. To be honest, I don't notice MASSIVE differences with the car when the PSI's are different, but there is that "sweet spot." Surprisingly where I am now, albeit a bit high, seems ok. But if I daily drove it, maybe I'd want it softer.

Guys, just follow what the tpms says. When cold, set it to comfort mode and it will show how much more (+) you have to deflate.
I now make myself a mental note to check the tire pressure every time I pick up the car after a dealer service. Every time they change it to full load.
