Default Winter Storage - battery removed

Can’t seem to find a definitive answer for this in the forum:

For a 991.x, after installing and reconnecting the battery after winter storage, are there any electronic issues requiring Porsche dealer intervention?

Thanks

Why would you need to remove the battery?

Storage w/o access to power is my guess.

How and where are you storing?

Inside or outside?

I know there doesn’t appear to be short term issues, going by some of the battery change threads, but I’m wondering if anyone has pulled their battery for longer term, ie several months.

Car Connect and Connect have to be dealer installed. Do they need re-installing?
Does the 991 PCM have a code that needs re-entering as some older models?

Wanted to sort this out so I don’t have surprises in the spring, and capture this in a thread for others.

Has anyone used a solar trickle charger for winter storage?

If car is stored outside could even place it on top of the car cover.

I remember reading something about ECU or something locking up if battery is not connected for too long.

Just put a trickle charger on, don't take the battery out ... no body does that

A portable power generator at a storage facility? I don't think that's ever allowed.

An inverter is a battery. In a lot of countries with power outages, they use inverters when the power goes out.

This is a common situation for those of us that live in a condo. Even though we have underground parking there is no way to keep the car on a trickle charger all the time; however, I do use it to charge my Harley once a week or so. I do have an outlet near my parking spots, which I use for vacuuming, etc. but I cannot use it to connect a trickle charger all the time.
