Nice, exactly what I had deducted via what was being reported by dealers, which was of debate in earlier "sales chart" threads. The 991.2 GT3's are selling in record GT3 numbers (makes perfect sense as they're literally the last new N/A 911's you can buy, so fervor naturally increases), and contributed a good deal to overall 2017 911 sales. But its 2018 sales are staggering, being the sales leader, and perfectly explain the 2018 YOY sales uptick in a year where dealers have all told me Carrera allocations are minute, and Porsche and customers alike gear up for the 992.

Hopefully Porsche is taking notes as to how massive and telling a sign that is, that a $200K (with markup) 911 GT3 with 4.0 N/A and race inspired outfitting is outselling the entire fleet currently, including the base car at half the price.

Super info and thanks to the "friend of a friend of a friend"!

Any timeframe for an update through EOY 2018?

Thank you for this information!

Amazing that only 210 4 GTS were sold out of 15,250 cars. I knew that production was low but never guessed that it would be this low.

Shifting production from GTS to GT3 was good for Porsche but resulted in a bit of a surplus in the larger 3.0 GTS turbochargers. Porsche's Supply Chain couldn't stop the turbocharger production supply on a dime, so they made them available to dealers at a discount in the form of X51 PowerKits. Lucky for me, because new 991.2 GTS was beyond my retirement budget. But after searching hard I found a bargain in a 2 year old 2017 C2S Endurance Racing Edition, brand new, with 80 miles and every performance option except X51 PowerKit, and it had all the luxury options I wanted. I stole it and worked the X51 PowerKit into my purchase deal. After selling my S turbo takeoffs for a nice price to a SoCal tuner, my X51 upgrade cost me $3800. It was a win-win for me. So move is 1 of 235 of these Weissach limited editions, now with GTS power. GTS production must be back up, because I don't see any of these X51 PowerKits on sale now.
A buddy of mine did grab one at a great Black Friday sale price from Sunset Porsche, and it was 4-5 days after Black Friday. There may still be one or two somewhere, but it does seem the sale prices on the X51 PowerKit have ended, and GTS production is back to "normal".

~ 15,000 Carreras:~1,500 GT3

Porsche were pumping out GT cars as if they were going out of fashion, which is a good thing to do e.g support supply for demand.

Over here, in the used market, there are more 991 GT3/RS on the market than any other 991 series car.

And the numbers are a little off... No Threadjack or shade intended.

I posted this two months ago, and will look to do an update soon:
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1109178-numbers.html

The numbers have only increased since then and this, I have since found out, most likely doesn't include any CXX cars... So... The line being spread around lately about "40% of the current production is GT Cars..." is in no way BS.
More to follow as time allows/production ends.

1. I'm glad I didn't pay ADM for a GT3, turns out it's the most common 911 (LOL).
2. I was considering a C4 when I was shopping for a 911 Sept. 2017, and ended up with a GTS Coupe. The dealer had the allocation, and said he wouldn't be able to get me a C4 allocation. Guess he wasn't trying to up sell me after all...

From the other thread the ratio of non-GT division cars to GT division cars is ~ 55.5k:7.5k or roughly 7.5:1 (or 12% of sales)

and for 2018 from this thread.

the ratio of non-GT division cars to GT division cars ~ 4,770:1,501 or roughly 3:1 (or 24% of sales in that period).

And the last substantive post, as well as hard numbers in this thread, before it was resurrected, were from August 2018. Mine are from the beginning of November 2018...
And we know how many PCNA and PCL cars have CXX goodies, which obfuscates the numbers...
And we know how heavily weighted the GT production is at the end of a model cycle...
And... To Be Continued.

Is there any chance of pulling the same information going back to 2012?

I have a highly optioned 2012 Carrera 4 GTS that I'm not sure if I should trade on a new TTS or keep in the stable for its potential collectability...

A 2012 isn’t a candidate for “collectibility” so unless you were not planning to drive it for the next 20+ years (and that’s a stretch) I would not consider that line of thinking.

It is astonishing how few Carrera 4's are made/sold. It's a wonder it is even offered.

Many thanks to Cam for all of his great contributions to Rennlist with these figures.

2012 Carrera 4 GTS with aero kit cup is a pretty cool. Only car I'd consider upgrading to from that would be a Carrera T, unless you need all-wheel, in which case a 991.2 Carrera 4 would be epic... if you can find one, of course -- incredibly rare speciman.
