@alex_c Thank you for creating this thread and posting the DIY with clear pics. I finally got my sport design spoiler painted and installed last week with the guidance from this thread. Happy to join the club!

Nice! Did you also get the programming done?

Thanks for posting this! It's one of the mods I am probably going to do immediately upon getting my T. And the car looks great!
Would you elucidate more on the 991.2's spoiler modes, please? How many positions, and what factors affect the angle of attack (activation speeds, angle changes with speed, braking, etc.)?
I've noticed, for example that when stationary, pushing the spoiler button deploys it, but will only partially retract it (presumably to prevent snapping unwitting admirers' fingers), delaying retraction until the car is in motion.

Thanks! Nope, I didn't have to get programming done since my car doesn't have a moonroof and the spoiler only extends to one specific height. One of the perks of being a poverty spec 911

Can someone please take a photo of the wing in the up position? Side view would be awesome and much appreciated. There are plenty of photos available of the wing in down position. Some up from behind none from the side. Thanks!

Here it is in the up position after updating the software to lower the angle of attack from the original configuration.

Ahhh! Thank you @alex_c that’s the key “updating the software to lower the angle of attack from the original configuration” I am assuming the dealer did the programming. The angle looks perfect. I did not realized the angle could be specifically programmed to a specific angle. I thought angle depended on if the car was equipped with sunroof or not. Two options. Thanks again for the info and the photos.

This angle is way too aggressive for me and takes away from the lines of the car. But always liked the lines when the wing is closed. So, I kept avoiding the purchase Thanks again. Now I have to go spend money.

Yes, it was reprogrammed by the dealer. Left by default, it is almost like an air brake, and induces a lot of vibration at high speed.

Very nice looking ride! In love with the colour and rims....

Would this sport design rear wing also fit my 991.1 C4 convertible? Or is this a gen2 modification only?

@alex_c This is a great thread. Kinda wish I had seen this before starting my job. I dropped one of the plastic tabs covering the torx screws down into the intercooler duct. Fortunately I was able to retrieve it without any issues.

I would love to know if you or anyone knows the precise parameters that were changed and to what values. I'm trying to recall a thread that may have specified this information. I may go with a local PIWIS user than going to the dealer.

My car is a 991.2 S with the standard (not sport) front bumper but WITH the sport lip.

I am not sure what spoiler you have installed on your car. I recently installed Moshammer on my 17 991.2 C2. I programmed it via PIWIS as having Aerokit Package. I also only have standard front bumper with OE sport lip. Aerokit Package looked very good I believe value is 552. At least that’s what I have on my notes. Original value is 750. since Moshammer is curvier I brought the value down to 450. No ill effects at sensible highway speeds and no cooling issues in hot Florida weather. Where are you in Florida?
