suspected coolant leak

That’s washer fluid. The factory fluid is thicker and oily....and they are a bit haphazard in filling (usually overfilled).
Will normally go go away after a few cycles of normal fluid. Once this was confirmed by my dealership I sprayed the old stuff empty and refilled with normal fluid. Don’t see those marks anymore.

I was wondering what that was - have the same thing on my car and I have never used the washer fluid...not sure I have ever used the wipers - So Cal is not so wet these days. Glad I ran across this thread

Well, you've all put my mind at rest, many thanks guys! The fluid residue is indeed oily which is what had me worried at first.. My car has been with the dealer now for 4 weeks.. although they discovered that my water pump needed to be replaced which turned out to be the actual cause of the coolant loss, hence my initial fear that this leak on the sill was coolant related. The dealer has never seen this washer fluid leak before which sounds hard to believe given so many of you have experienced the same thing. It would also appear that the water pump on a current gen 911 is a weak point as well..
