"Slow down", she shouted !
This happened to me in my other car (a BMW M) when I downshifted into 2nd right before a turn. There was a woman standing by the cross walk who yelled out "slow down!". I looked and I was maybe going 10 mph. It's never happened in my 991.1.

Love that commercial.
Normally I let it go...
Yesterday I stopped... which wasn't hard because I was doing, *at most* 15 mph. In a 25...
"Lady, seriously? What do you want me to do, get out and push? I'm doing like 15 in a 25, why are you screaming at me?"
Confused words follow about speed, turns, kids at play....retort about the road is torn up by a gas main replacement, I could not even reach 20 if I wanted to, metal plates, dips and bumps, way below speed limit...
Another case of "the car looks fast and sounds fast in 1st gear", so surely it must be speeding.... Except not even close.... Reminds me of that old ad about the dog chasing and crashing into a parked car because it "looked fast"...
Next time I'll smile and keep going instead, that went nowhere and actually made me angrier than not stopping... I gentlemanly refrained from any language but pointed out she should get the cops to bring a radar gun anytime and until then mind her business and stop shouting at strangers, you never know... Can't wait for the hybrid 911 that is quiet until 30 mph ;-) In all seriousness people would never give my E-golf a second look even if I were speeding, but my 991 or old 911 under 25 mph sounds like it's a public menace.... Sigh... Need to move to the countryside.

This is where the story gets interesting. The lady yelling at me actually lives fairly close to me, although I have never met her before. Anyway, about an hour later, I see this lady post on the neighborhood facebook page about the event. Mind you, this is a 3000+ member group, so no one knows who I am. As you can assume, I was then blamed for every single thing any red Porsche has done in this city; "that guy ran me off the road!", "that guy stole my dog... and my wife!", etc. etc. I just sat there and laughed at all of the ridiculous comments.
And that is how I became known by an entire neighborhood as THE RED STREAK.

Happened to me driving around Mercer Island here in Seattle. Known for 12 miles of windy roads and nice views and homes to look at. In the summer it’s busy with people just doing a nice cruise and cyclists as well as pedestrians. I was doing the speed limit the whole time and was actually going 10mph behind a cyclist until I could pass him so I ended probably passing at 25mph which the speed limit was 30mph so I was still under. Come around a blind turn and there is an idiot in the street flapping his arms telling me to slow down. Good thing I didn’t hit him, I would hate to deal with a dent on my car, never mind the idiot

Given the actual speed limit is low. I’d say at most 2nd gear to stay in the limit. What’s funny about the Dragon is Maxwrist and others use it as a racetrack and post the videos of them doing it all over YouTube with race speed runs and crossing the double yellow. You would think the cops would be into that and bust them soon as they see them show up. But I guess the local businesses like getting the money from Dragon tourists. Usual death toll is 3 to 4 people per season and lots of wadded bikes and cars. I have no plans to ever go there.
I used to love to drive in traffic with my track pads on my 996 Turbo. People would go nuts about the brake squeal. "You'd think if you can afford a car like that you could afford to fix the brakes." Then they got to listen to the Fab speed exhaust. LoL
