Can you push a pdk car in neutral?
When I was weighing my car the other day I have some wood platforms I get the tires on and then put the scales in front of the ramps. My normal procedure with my other vehicles is just putting the car in Neutral and pushing it forward the 12-16" to get it on the scales. This is the first time I have attempted to push a car with PDK transmission. When I put it in N and opened the door to get out it seemed the parking brake automatically set. Car seems to be smarter than me in an attempt from keeping it from rolling away. haha I was in a rush so I just ended up driving forward very slowly. (I prefer to push it because from outside the car I can see the scale and exactly when I am centered up).
Is there a way to simply put the car in N and push it around? Am I missing something. Looked quickly just now in the online owners manual and did not see anything.
Thanks

Have you tried pulling both paddles at the same time? That disengaged the clutch in my GT3, not sure if it works on the regular PDK or if it stays in neutral when you do that. May be worth a try anyway.
Edit: Never mind, looks like you already got it in N but pushing it makes it lock up again? Not sure about that!

Could you leave it in N and stay in the car (i.e., have someone help push)? I've used N to roll backward on a hill a bit while still in the car (PDK), but I'm not sure of your specific issue.
Most the time I am alone so staying in the car is not an option. However I don't see me needing to weigh it again so probably doesn't matter much anyways. I was just curious.

Opening the door with the car running is what sets the parking brake. Try lowering the drivers window, closer the door then reach in and release the parking brake. Then push to your hearts content.
