Default Custom Install JK Automotive Design, East Coast Love..

I decided to create this thread for members on the East Coast looking for a top notch installer for everything from radar to laser to audio. I looked for a long time and interviewed quite a few installers before I found JK Automotive Design out of Stoneham, Massachusetts.
https://www.jkautomotivedesigns.com

JK stands for Jeremy Katz who I assume is the owner, I never asked him actually. Jeremy actually goes around the country teaching installers the “proper” way to do things. I am going to attach a bunch of pictures to give you an idea of the quality of their work.

The car has been with JK for nearly a week and as of this writing is still in MA. I had a lot of work done to the car and was told 10 days. They are on schedule to be completed on time.

Scope of Work:

Front and Rear ALP Laser

Front and Rear Escort Radar

Install Radar/Laser Rear View Mirror

Full Audio System Upgrade. Amps. Speakers, Cables, NavTV, Sound Dampening

Front and Rear Dash Cameras

Install Rennline radiator Grills

Install AWE wind deflectors

This thread will be a work in progress and I will upload pics as I get them.

Any questions just ask, except the price which isn’t cheap but, keep in mind the equipment cost alone is about $10,000 before labor..

Here are a couple more I just found.. Just want to point out the attention to detail like a specialized area just for my parts, Each screw is labeled!
Even the bottom of the door panel is protected against damage. When you pay for this level of installation you expect things to be done right. So far, I am impressed..

Thank you! This is exactly the kind of shop I have been looking for in the North East. It is still a bit of a hike for me to get there from Canada, but since I do all my manufacturing in Maine... I will extend my next road trip.

Beautiful Targa you put together. Very sharp.

I drove 200 miles to drop off the car, so it wasn't in my backyard either. I hope the results will be worth it

A couple of little tidbits...

I didnt want to change my speaker grills to Burmester or any other non OEM grill, so JK spec'ed out a tweeter that would fit in the same space without changing anything. Just needed a spacer

Since the BOSE system was no longer Bose, I asked what could be done and they told me they can remove it or make any other badge I want. So far leaning towards GTS badge. Opinions?

For the rear, a TX sensor was used for the Laser. In order to make it look symmetrical, they created a "faux case" the same size as the non TX head to make them look more similar/matched.

On smokers kit plate they etched PORSCHE into the facade to make it look more factory and stock. Nice touch. They could have put anything I asked there.. GTS, TARGA, I LOVE MOM, etc..

When the AUDIO side begins, I asked for all Amps to be under the seats. NO Frunk space was used in this install. Everything hidden.

I'd leave it blank - no badge needed. Simple is better.

Great work! Are they 3D printing those custom parts on-site? Did you happen to see what printer they are using?

That is exactly what I did when I had the Bose speakers replaced with Focal speakers in one of my previous 911s.

They do not use 3D printers, they use some CAD program and Acrylic if I am not mistaken.
Looks like no Badge is the ticket on the speaker grills..

They did my ALP + Stinger install - pricey shop but absolutely top notch, likely way above everybody else on East Coast. Everything looks OEM, all harnesses are labeled, fully serviceable.

I tested the car w every laser gun imaginable and his install was ironclad - I'm only a tad bit exposed around the headlights which are tough to fully cover w these cars without getting those alp heads really sticking out, which would present other stealth related issues. You'd be surprised how much a mediocre install affects ALP's performance.

you have any pictures of the rear of the car that show where the sensors are located near the license plate? Mine are just next to the license plate and are slanted slightly.
