Saw this car today in Newport headed to work. Looked great rolling down Jamboree!

That's a 991.2. You can find that spoiler in Suncoasts 991.2 parts list for about $1800. Don't know the applicability to 991.1s.
Be careful disturbing your stock aero.

hi Bigworm, how did it work out? I have a 991.1 and thinking of getting the .2 SD ducktail as well. Did you manage to fit it? Thanks

It looks like you actually tried to make this work. Can you describe what, exactly, is different?
I've read that the actual lifting mechanism below the painted lid is entirely different, but what else?
I had been imagining that simply swapping the mechanism would be enough (assuming I can find one) but it looks like maybe the engine lid/grill also doesn't align or fill in the recessed/forward part of the spoiler? And I've also read that you can swap rear grills from .2 to .1, right?
The 991.2 Sport Design mini-ducktail is the perfect spoiler for me but not my .1, apparently.

I've actually looked into also swapping the engine lid (that holds the grill); it's only $700 unpainted. The hinges are also different part numbers, though, which worries me that mounting points could be different. The lock/latch and actuators are the same, however.
More importantly the body lines/creases seem to be the same (relative to the quarter panel).
