My spoiler is not visible at all in the "normal" raised mode, as in when you depress the manual activation button. It is, however, visible with the sunroof open while in automatic mode and is what is shown in the photo in my previous post.

Might be the difference between your car and the GTS (spasm cars).
This is my sunroof position when speed exceeds 130km/h.
My normal low position is stil visable as well (although just a thin line above the antenna)

I did some testing on My 2013 C2S this weekend. With the sun roof open the spoiler partially deploys at 75 mph. Then at around 78 mph the spoiler extends more when sunroof is open.At that point I can see it in the rear mirror. At 78 I closed the sunroof and the spoiler retracts a little out of sight from the rear view mirror.
It was 95 degrees out and the oil temp was 235. I don’t know the coolant temp. I forgot to look.
