The best stereo is available on Suncoast for $3,005 for the 4 (no affiliation):

This is an impossible question to answer since only you know what listening to a good sound system is worth to you. For some throwing 7k pocket changet...to others they may have to finance that 7k. If I owned a sound proof 400k Rolls Royce....paid in cash....I would not hesitate to spend 20k to upgrade the stereo. As the commercial says....what's in your wallet....or should I ask...how much is in your wallet and is it worth it to you. Add to that ....its a noisy cab.

IMO, the best time to listen to the stereo is when the car is stopped. That said, the Bose sounds great in a coupe. If i wanted truly great stereo, id get a coupe with the Burmeister. Better yet, a Macan, Panny or Cayenne. I have found that in Porsches, the bigger interiors produce better sound. And quieter cars are better than sports cars. Boxsters and Cabs are the least enjoyable for audiophiles, mainly because of higher ambient noise while driving.
Hard to answer as only you know how important audio in your 911 is. For me too much money spent when you push the exhaust button and open your windows that money goes out the window too. But if you drive closed up with no loud exhaust and the sound is important then it’s your money.
