tell me about it, i tried to negotiate a deal with a CA dealer for a 2017 Demo car that had its warranty start in NOV 2016 two months ago for 20% off MSRP. They came back with "this is a special car, inventory is low right now, go check out used inventory" and gave me 9k off msrp....

Needless to say I walked and that car is still for sale...asking price is 10k off msrp

15-17% for cars that only have 100 miles on them. What about the demo ones that has a couple thousands?

Hi all,
new to this forum and 911 ownership this week.
I spent the last few months lurking and learning from you all. I still know very little about the 911 religion but am very excited to convert !
I had to search in 300-500 mile radius from NYC and there is inventory but not much . Discounts 5-5.5% the most on 2018 base and S.
ended up looking at two local 2017s instead as the long distance buy logistics did not align with changing work schedule.
i did not like the Carrera S color although it was 20k off a MSRP and punched in last month for warranty. Under 30 miles.no Sports Chrono.
So i ended up with a new but 2017 Base Carrera with 40 miles at 22k discount but punched in 16 months ago. No heated multifunction wheel. I talked them into the CPO 6 year unlimited so now I come out ahead. They changed battery and oil on my request as it sat on lot for over a year. and looking ahead CPO also covers 1st year maint. Which is not offered on 2017s.
so most 2017s will have some minor or core option missing or a unique color. But if one can compromise then great deals are there to buy, not lease.

after 5 days I have driven 500 miles locally and want to sleep in this car ,

Welcome! You got the Porsche bug, and let me tell you it is just starting . Great choice, it sound like you are really enjoying it. You do know it didn't happen unless you post pictures. I need to drive the Base 2017, I've heard it is great. I have and S and it is amazing.

a base 2017? Known in these parts as a gateway drug

Enjoy, every one of these cars is a fantastic choice. Drive safe!

Those of you bragging about the great discounts need to name the dealers.....if not I question your veracity.

If someone negotiated a nice discount on an ordered car please drop me a PM and fill me in. I can take delivery at the Porsche Experience in Atlanta so it does not matter who in the US I order from.

Hey guys, it's been a while since I posted this. Any recent updates on these cars? Anyone got lucky and got their dream car?

I found quite a few dealers that offered me a discount on an order here in FL but I wound up ordering from a dealer in CA for a better discount - PM me if you want a referral.
