Forgot to mention on this thread that I ordered the X51 Power Kit for my new Carerra S today. Suncoast posted today that their X51 Power Kit sale ends Monday. I was hesitating and couple of weeks ago and got on the phone - both Suncoast and another dealer told me they would hold their X51 sale prices until Porsche ended the sale and raised pricing. Neither could tell me whether it would happen now or a month from now. It seems Porsche has sold what they wanted to sell. Whether this sale was the result of a production over-run or a marketing strategy, we may never know. One thing is for sure, if you want one for your 991.2 Carrera S, now is the time. As they always say in the infomercials, "HURRY! Supplies are limited." 🕚

Bought my X51 from Suncoast when it was on the super low sale, had it delivered at Porsche ParkPlace Dallas, the following week was installed. Not a single issue. Love it. (2018 991.2 C2S fully loaded).

Oh makes sense. The config tool still shows 12k even if you have sports package selected... once you click on it, it shows 5800. So I guess paying that much via sale price then 1-2k for install isn't too bad. Sounds like a good mod I can do in a few years to liven up the car or replace worn turbos.

I got a 2017 C4S instead of a GTS because I didn’t like the black trim and wheels on the GTS. Seriously. Make fun of me if you want.
I didn’t get the powerkit because it seemed like a lot of $ for 30HP. I did get fun stuff like SPASM and SC and RAS and PSE. I later regretted skimping on the bigger turbos. I don’t like feeling regret.
I had X51 retrofitted to the C4S last winter. It’s not just 30HP - “it’s the torque, stupid!”
Zero regrets.
I didn’t get the powerkit because it seemed like a lot of $ for 30HP. I did get fun stuff like SPASM and SC and RAS and PSE. I later regretted skimping on the bigger turbos. I don’t like feeling regret.
