Default Fun drive this morning

I’m pulling out of the driveway to work today...I have a white 991.2 C2S with black wheels.

Lo and behold my neighbor pulls up behind me with his new white GT4 - I hadn’t seen it before. So like any Porsche enthusiast at 6:30am on quiet and windy roads, we smash the throttle and exchange a few passes.

Then a white Panamera turbo joins as well. Best 15 min ride to work yet! (usually it’s a little longer!)

Sounds fun! I had a similar drive recently through a near by neighborhood. Except I made it a 1.5 hour drive. I became a lot more intimate with my 911T after than morning and I'm not so sure the neighbors were please with my performance.

I’m taking it that proper warm-up techniques were abandoned 😜

This is what keeps me in check on the way to work.

Shenanigans always start after 190 - 200F! Before then, grandma is driving.

now I’m confused and not to bring up an old topic but “operating temp” is all over the place in previous threads. I had settled on 160 as a safe temp but do some wait for even higher? I did not find anything in “good to know” manual but didn’t do the most thorough search.

You could argue that the MFD gauge reveals a reasonable temperature... the area between the blue and the red part of the bar. I've noticed the oil gauge on my car tends to rise out of the blue area somewhere a little over 150 F. Here's a screen grab of someone else's gauge I found online and you can see it is clearly out of the blue by the current reading of 172 F. So yeah, 160 sounds like a reasonable target to me.

that makes sense to me. I’ll stick with 160. Thanks StormRune
