They work great, just be careful with the small screw not to break it. Whether you need it depends on whether the wind buffeting bothers you. For some reason each car, and each persons ear, is different to the buffeting.

Got mine from Suncoast, and the same set are now on my 2nd 911. Love em! Simple installation, unless you have an early 991.1, which requires the entire door panels to be removed. Not sure when Porsche changed this part of the 911 door design...

Pretty simple.

Had to do the "harder" install on my early 2014 and they worked just fine. As s4one points out, the door panel doesn't have to be completed disconnected, just the front end has to be tilted out of the way. Doing it that way it is pretty easy with two people.

An observation I've had is that I don't feel as compelled to install this on my newer 991.2 with Sport Design mirrors. I think they substantially change the flow and get rid of the beating problem if both windows are down, at least at legal highway speeds. With the standard mirrors the beating was certainly a problem.

I have the AWE ones and they made a tremendous improvement (most notably on the track)

This must be a coupe thing.

I have no idea why anyone would need this product.

I don't need it for my 991 cabriolet.
