This makes me wonder, how many dealers are requesting deposits on cars when they do not have an allocation? It seems that more often than not most will not even talk turkey until they actually have a car to sell. Did you come to an agreement on price before you gave them a deposit? Just curious on how this is working. Thanks, Doug

yes we have agreed upon price, signed build sheet, negotiated some free years of maintenance etc. There's a commission/build number from porsche NA etc but no build date. My sheet shows i'm in status v070 painfully awaiting change to v200. As I understand it, at least around here, this is pretty standard practice unless you order something like a Macan of which the dealers have tons of allocations to give away

Guys here in the UK we have been notified that there is a factory closure whilst they swap over to get ready for emission changes etc
Right now you cannot place a new car order and the only option is to buy used .
It is one of the main reasons I have secured a demo vehicle with my local dealer as it was not possible to get a new car in the spec I wanted .
I thought once the factory starts up again post summer they would go straight into 992 model production as the launch is supposed to be September .
The cars you guys are orderinf indicates that they will continue to squeeze a few more 991 cars out before the change to the new 992 ?

Anyone have an updated on their July build? I'm curious if we are all still on schedule or if Porsche has pushed anyone back. I still show 7/6 fixed, 7/20 start of production. I made one change to the build two weeks ago.

Generally, minor changes will not delay a build. It's when you want special stitching and/or PTS that it sends them for a loop. I think your real concern will be the start of August vacations.
