I've been a huge fan for years and have done long drives with not a single issue!

Would love to see some interior shots of the front wheel(s) in the back seat!

I prefer my rides being bolted on But I have friends that swear by seasuckers on their P-cars

Also, glad to hear the suction cups worked. But like a few others, I am much happier with the OEM roof bars. They mount to dedicated bolt holes in little bars that swing up from under rubber trim on the roof. After installing, I will say that I have never seen or felt a more secure setup. It feels like the bars are welded to the frame ;-). This set up is much nicer than the average Thule or Yakima setup that hooks over the edge of the roof and into the window frame.

Couldn’t you just drive a few self tapping sheet metal screws through each suction cup for added security?

700c front wheel (including cyclocross and gravel up to 40mm) fit fine in the frunk.

Been using a seasucker for a couple of years now, and has been a great solution.

I got a Sea Sucker rack for my 991.2 C2s but was for mountain biking and in the end I could not do it as I did not want to trash my 911 with trail dirt. Bought a Subaru Crosstrek, installed a hitch, and use a Kuat hitch rack. I have no problem getting the Crosstrek dirty The Sea Sucker racks are nice though.

Has anyone mounted the rear wheel cup to the motorized spoiler?

I tried out the standard mount locally but the spacing front window to roll bar on my targa was just a bit too long for the bike and mounting to the rear side of the car would put the rear wheel on the spoiler which deployed automatically above 60mph.

alternative is the Komodo I guess.

@Paul Love Would you mind taking some measurements of the suction cup placement? I wonder if the Komodo will work on a cabriolet. I haven't had any success finding anything yet. I ended up taking both wheels off and taping up the sharp bits to haul it inside the 991.
