991.2 GTS Rear Axle Steering issues
The Hubster was driving our GTS about 3 weeks ago & when he pulled out of our office, his dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree & he got an error message about his rear axle steering being disabled. The system also disabled park distance control, ABS & lane change systems. Car was flat-bedded to the dealer, who thought that there was a wheel sensor issue, but couldn't find any other problems & reflashed the ECU. Same thing happened again yesterday, as he made a u-turn out of our office. We'll get the car in again, but are wondering if anyone else has experienced the same & how they got it fixed.
As an FYI, vehicle was purchased new last summer & has about 3500 miles on it.

Same issue GT3
I gad same symptoms in my GT3 a couple of months ago. Wheel bearing was leaking grease which got into wheel speed sensor. I had all sorts of errors including rear steering. ( it was a front wheel bearing, BTW). Fix was to replace bearing and sensor.

I got the same issue couple days ago. After couple mins those lights were off but the engine lights went on. Brought it back to dealer and they said I need to leave the car there for at least a week. So let's see what happened. My car has 7000km on it.

I did mention "GT3" right? Many track days. At favorite track (Fontana, CA) lap includes turn 3 - 140 mph down to 35 and turn 13 - 130 to 35 - on every lap. Usually 10 to 11 laps per session. I've seen tire pressures go up by 10 psi in a session. So yeah... things get warm!

If there ever was a way to cause a fault in manufacturing of products is to use them at full potential !
Love what I just read.

no, not quite. Enter 1 around 155; let it off a little to 135ish, then accelerate out to 140. Brake HARD for 3. Never had the nerve (or enough downforce) to keep it flat all the way around. Actually got a little 4 wheel drift once around 137 in 2.
Don't expect to see those speeds in my new GTS.

Update--drove it around the next day with the check engine light on, cluster stated driving was okay. Park distance and lane keep were functioning properly as well as RAS. The very next day when I started it up, no more check engine light and it's been fine ever since. Definitely a strange occurrence.

The more complex you make a vehicle, the more potential failure areas. I had a Dynamic Engine Mount go bad on my 991, under warranty. Dealer indicated that would have been $ 2K to replace outside of warranty. Do I really need them? Probably not any more than I need Rear Axle Steering. Just a point to note when checking of the option boxes - or buy the way-far-out extended warranty.

We basically experienced the exact same thing. I still dropped off my car at dealer since I will have a couple hours long drive next week and I don't want to stall in the middle of the road. However, I called this morning and they said they still didn't know what happened which is weird.
