The standard 2018 GTS headlights (xenons) aren't completely black anymore like on the 991.1 GTS model.
The surround is grey, see picture below.

You can remedy this by buying a surround trim in a black metallic from KI Studios, as shown in this thread

No.

I had to buy a kit to make them fully black.

They will look just as good as the standard bi xenon lights with the KI Studios overlay on them, and are a sh**load less money overall.

Standard bi-xenons in silver/grey on my new GTS:

I think part of it depends on the color. On my Sapphire Blue GTS, I don't mind it at all, especially once the clear turn signal markers were installed.

I wouldn't have minded the look of the LEDs, especially the black, but preferred to put the $$$ for them elsewhere in my build (I already exceeded my planned budget by quite a bit - this was one of a few things that didn't make the cut). I had bi-xenons on my last two 991.1S's that I had and they were plenty bright enough.

I also wanted to avoid this look:

(I kid, I kid! The LEDs in black look awesome!)

You find a CPO 991.1 that was spec'ed that way.

Black bi-xenons are not available on the 991.2.

I did see one confusion recently with someone expecting "black" bi-xenons with a delivery. They are indeed mostly black on the inside (as opposed to all silver for non-PDLS) but they were expecting the black ring.
That KI adhesive ring looks the nuts to me.
